Chapter 4: The Yukon

Lukas's POV

Thanks to yesterday's win in Japan, we were back in first class. I took one of the special drinks they served and sat back down.

Gwen took a seat in the chair next to me. I felt that weird feeling return to my stomach.

" Gah, there it is again." I stated.

" What?" Gwen looked over at me.

"That weird stomach feeling...it's back again."

" Are you sure it's not the plane getting to you?"

"I'm sure. I was fine earlier."

"Maybe you should get checked out."

"M-maybe." I shrugged."But I had this feeling before, I just can't put my finger on it but I didn't go to the hospital for it."

Gwen simply shrugged. Chef then started speaking on the loudspeaker.

"We have some massive air bumps. Lock your butts to a seat." Chef stated.

Me and Gwen exchanged frightened looks and quickly tightened our seat belts.

"How bad do you think the air bumps will be?" I asked.

Before Gwen could respond, the plane started to shake. I tightly shut my eyes waiting for the air bumps to end. The plane started to spin. After the spinning phase, it lost motion.

I felt a hand tightly squeezing mine. I opened my eyes and saw Gwen with her eyes shut tightly squeezing my hand out of fear I'd assume.

"Um, Gwen I think we landed." I said.

She opened her eyes and looked around.

"Oh. Cool." She said, and then looked down at my hand."S-sorry." She said, removing her hand from mine.

"It's cool. You didn't squeeze it too hard." I said, shaking my hand a bit.

We all headed to the plane exit. One after another we all fell into the cold snow.

"Welcome to the Yukon's!" Chris said happily and laughed afterwards.

We all relocated to the starting line. We were all shivering from the unbearable temperature.

"Um. Hello? Where are our jackets?!" Heather asked, clearly annoyed.

"Relax. I ordered coats for everyone." Chris said as everyone cheered." They won't be ready for weeks, but as soon as they arrive I'll be sure to hand them out." Chris stated.

"Maybe we should huddle for warmth?" Courtney suggested.

Cody attempted to make his move on Gwen but got pushed away and put back into the arms of his stalker.

"Nice one." I said, high fiving Gwen.

"Crossing the icy river in Canada's frozen tundra used to be easy. Back when the river was frozen solid but thanks to global warming. And Owen. Earth is finally becoming a lot more interesting. By which I mean, deadly."

"Ha! Yay!" Izzy cheered.

"Today's challenge is called: Total Drama The Icicle. Teams must make their way across this watery chasm from jumping ice flow to ice flow. First team members must make their way to the dog sleds on the far shore and become the dog. Pulling the sled all the way to the finish line as you collect your team from team meeting points. Sleds are first come first serve. So move fast. Don't worry, if you fall in we are legally required to save you so we have 2 divers down stream ready to pull you out." Chris said.
