"No, hey, I know, I just thought since it's your first time back in the city in a couple of years, it'd be a nice way for everyone to know you're back. Can't I do something nice for my baby sister?" Jordan rolled her eyes and let out a sharp, breathy laugh.

"Your baby sister is twenty-six, has three PhDs and a car that she is perfectly capable of driving by herself." Her older brother scoffed and shook his head as they approached the lab.

"I'm not saying you can't, I just wanted to do a good deed, is that too much?"

"Not at all, but it feels like you're driving me to my first day of high school, Seeley. You picked me up from the airport, that was enough." They arrived at the lab and it felt something akin to coming home, well and truly. Jordan couldn't begin to work out how many hours she'd spent around the Bureau building and labs.

"Alright, come on, let's go." They disembarked and headed into the lab together, with Jordan trying desperately to match Seeley's larger strides. It was late but the whole building was lit up and surprisingly still abuzz with activity. The two of them reached the examination platform and Seeley waited for Doctor Brennan to swipe her ID card for him.

"Doctor Booth -" Cam greeted with a welcoming smile as they made re-introductions.

"Please, Doctor Saroyan, you can still call me Jordan," the younger woman insisted with a smile. They all shared cordial handshakes and hugs.

"It's wonderful to have you back here."

"It certainly feels good to be back -"

"No way, Baby Booth? Not such a Baby anymore, huh?" Jordan turned and was met with the familiar eccentricity of one Jack Hodgins.

"Doctor Hodgins! Yeah, I just graduated with my third PhD. How are things?"

"Oh, y'know, can't complain - wouldn't help much if I did anyway." On that, they all agreed and shared a laugh.

Jordan's attention was drawn to the new face on the platform. Between Cam and Doctor Brennan was a nervous-looking younger guy. If she had to guess, they were around the same age but Jordan was definitely older.
