Her eyes flutter open and she looks around her.
Where is she?
And why the hell does her head hurts...she once again tried to compose herself and looked around, she was in a majestic chamber, and the entire room was decorated with lilies and roses and candles, there was a serene silence in the room.
She jerked up and tried to get down from the bed, she stumbled but again stood, one could hear the clinging of her gold anklet and bangles echo in the giant ancient room. She turned to look further when her eyes fell on the mirror before her.
Partition filled with red color, her hand went on her partition between her hair on its own. Horror stricken her heart hard, she saw her hands clad in red chuda ( Indian bridal bangles) with heavy kalire.
Her eyes fell on her red heavy attire, and then on her neck, a black-gold beaded chain was placed around her swan-like neck.
Her breath stopped.
'No'
This can't be possible...
"No..." she screamed and throws the vase near the table in the mirror.
Suddenly, the door opens and a few footsteps were heard at a distance. People standing before her looks at her in horror.
Soon, they heard heavy dominating footsteps, and then it was all quiet.
"Yuvraaj...this" one lady said.
"This is her faith a punishment to her for deceiving me and our family" she heard dominating dark voice.
"One more thing never let this girl come in front of me. I never want to see her face mother..." the anger and disgust in his voice were clear.
Soon, those footsteps and dominating aura present in the room faded, leaving her and the people in the room with unasked questions.
Her eyes again turn to face the broken mirror. The black beaded thread was not her. The VERMILION on her forehead was for her step SISTER.
Not her.
Never her.
She is Aavya Verma. And she got the Vermilion and It was never her choice...
