I don't really know how this started, hell I don't remember anything up until now. I look around myself slowly, taking in the battered scene. I'm in a house, but the house is old, falling apart, maybe even set on fire at one point. Everything is so decrepit that I can't tell. The carpet beneath me smelled of mold and mildew, disgusted, I sat up fast. Big mistake. As soon as I sat up, a pounding began in my head with a noise I can only describe as a low hum. I grabbed my temples hoping that if I held it that just maybe it would cease. No good. I slowly bring myself to my knees as my vision begins to blur and sway as if I'm drunk.
I couldn't move, everything is closing in on me. I let out a loud scream of pain, I pull at my short black hair. As I stop screaming, I hear something else shriek. Its so loud it drowns out the humming in my head. I open my eyes to try and see what's making that sound, but I cant see. My heart pounds so hard I can feel it in my stomach. The humming increases, knocking back onto my stomach, I get a nose full of moldy carpet. The humming continues to increase as I howl in pain, clutching my head, ripping out handfuls of hair. Another guttural sound scrapes through the house, piercing my ears. I open my eyes again in an attempt to see what's making that sound, but still, all I can see is black. The sound grows loud, overpowering the humming as a buzzing begins in my temples, moving around my forehead. Soon my entire head feels like it's on vibrate, at least it doesn't hurt anymore. My vision slowly starts to come back, revealing that I am now standing in the middle of a field, I can smell the wildflowers that are growing all around me. As I take in the landscape, the buzzing stops, the sounds stop.
I begin to fear that I've gone deaf from all the noise, or even that I have died from whatever was going on in the decrepit darkness of that house, which I realize now is nothing but evil. Hopefully I can stay here a bit longer, hopefully I won't return to that damn house. My vision is completely restored as I see someone coming my way on horseback. I can't hear the hooves. Reaching to my ears, I feel a warm gooey liquid. I slowly look at my hand, seeing the blood on my fingers made my stomach turn. As the person moved closer, I saw that their face was covered, they were wearing a dark silk robe, a hood that covered the entirety of their face reminded me of the reaper. I must be dead.
The cloaked figure on a dark stallion stopped right in front of me, and in one swift movement, dismounted the horse, grabbing my arms. They began to shake me. I looked at them, hoping that whatever or whoever they are, I wouldn't be feeling anymore pain. My body ached and felt fatigued. The cloaked figure, which I deemed death, reached a hand to my non-working ears. They must have spotted the blood as they touched the blood that was building and crusting. With another swift motion, before I could even blink, I was dragged onto the horse. The constant bouncing of the stallions gallops made my stomach churn and my entire body was wracked with even more pain that only intensified with each moment. It felt like everything was going in slow motion, even as my body began to feel numb, I could still feel the pain from everything being jostled. As I went to scream out, everything went dark.
