***3 weeks later***

I haven't heard much from my family since the gala and in all honesty I'm starting to get a little worried. My family is strong and powerful it's just that the Mikaelsons are somewhat stronger and they like to play dirty. Well except for Elijah he's the only one I really care for. Looks like I am going to have to pay another visit soon. 

"Darling are you ok?" draco asked with a look of concern in his eyes. "Hmm? oh yes I'm fine just thinking is all" I gave him a small smile. He put his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him and gave me a soft kiss on my cheek and whispered into my ear. "you haven't touched your breakfast at all and I can see it in your eyes that something is bothering you" I looked over at him and let out a sigh. "I'm just worried about my family I haven't heard from them since we got back from the gala" Draco's eyebrows furrowed. "That is strange" 

"I think I'm going to go back this weekend and check on them, who knows maybe the Mikaelsons did something" "I'll go with you" draco said. I shook my head no. "It's too dangerous for you. I can't let you get hurt" he smirked at me. "I wasn't asking... besides don't forget I know magic as well darling" I just chuckled at him. he then let out a small sigh. "C'mon lets get you to transfigurations" I nodded in agreement. 

**Thursday Afternoon** 

We were all sitting in the hall eating lunch talking and laughing about how theo got caught snogging Astoria Greengass in an empty closet. "Theo I can't believe you got caught with greengass with your pants down" Theo began to look annoyed. "Oh shut it will you, like you haven't been caught before Blaise!" I looked over at blaise who automatically shut up. "& who might this girl be if I may ask" "Oh you didn't hear our dear sweet blaise over here got caught in the middle of a snogging session with none other than Lo---" "finish that sentence I dare you and I'll gladly hex you into next week nott" I was looking in between them and began laughing. "you two are too funny" Before anything else could be said a pretty white owl swooped in and dropped a letter right in my lap. "Who's it from" pansey asked. "I have no idea theres no address or name on it" I began opening the letter. 

Dear Ms. Salvatore 

Ms. Salvatore it has come to my attention that you have not heard from your parents or extend family in quite sometime and before I continue any further I would like you inform you that I have played no part in what has taken place. I am going out of my way to inform you of the events that have taken place. I do believe that my brother is out of place in this matter. Your father, mother and family are being held in my dear brothers cellar, tortured at that. Now that being said I have tried to reason with him on finding another solution to our family's disagreements but he has not been reasonable with me. It has also come to my attention that his daughter hope is looking for you. 

If you are wondering why I am going out of my way to warn you and tell you this information. it is for the simple fact that you and your mother alone have always respected me and valued the same beliefs as me when it comes to resolving our problems. I am clearly aware of your location and will be visiting you soon. Please stay on the grounds of the school until I am there. We need to discuss how we can get this resolved without any further damage.

My heart sank to the bottom of my stomach. I knew there was something going on. Elijah had gone out of his way to inform me of what has taken place. for that I am forever thankful but seeing as the damage is done how does he expect me to not lash out. & if Hope is looking for a fight then she'll get one. 

"Steph..Steph.. hey what's going on" I didn't say anything for a couple minutes. It was like I was stuck in a trance. I needed to get to them as quick as possible. My emotions were all over the place. I looked over at draco who all of a sudden was reading the letter. I laid my hand on his arm causing him to look over at me. "I need to go...now" before I could get up I felt someone grab my hand. It was Pansey. "Steph what the hell is going on, talk to us" Tears started to well up in my eyes. I put my head down and whisper yelled "They have my family hostage" 

All of a sudden the doors to the great hall open, and there he stood the one and only Elijah Mikaelson. Scanning the room looking for me. "What the hell is he doing here Steph" draco said standing up next to me now. "he's here to help me" "do you trust him?" I looked over at draco and the others. "I have to" with that I got moved away from the table as soon as he made eye contact with me. I didn't notice it before but I do now, the great hall became quiet and all eyes were on me. The professors even had worried looks on their faces. 

"what are we waiting for?" Elijah looked around before speaking. "Maybe we should discuss this matter in a more private area" I nodded. As we were exiting the hall I felt draco's icy hand slip into mine and held onto it tight. Letting me know he wasn't leaving my side. We made out way out to the front of the castle Elijah finally turned around. "Stephanie" then he looked over at Draco. "And you are?" "Draco, Draco Malfoy" he stuck out his hand for Elijah to take and Elijah did. "Pleasure... Now Stephanie I believe there is a more reasonable way to handle this situation" "Please feel free to enlighten me Elijah cause in this very moment I want to do nothing more then raise hell. Literally" "I understand but we have to remember this is Klaus we are talking about he obviously hasn't thought this all the way through yet cause to my knowledge your mother hasn't been human for quite some time so the idea of him creating more hybrids is out of the question... yes there is something else that is intriguing his interest and I am beginning to believe that interest is you" 

I felt my blood turn cold. I didn't know how to answer that. "What could he possibly what with me?" "Well to my knowledge he has also discovered you have developed a new set of traits that no one can quite understand... am I correct?" I nodded in response. "I think he sees you as a threat and is going to use your family as bait to get to you" I looked over at draco who has been paying close attention not taking his eyes off of Elijah. "excuse me sir, but in that letter you stated that his daughter hope is looking for Steph" "yeah what does she want?" I said turning back to face Elijah. 

"My dear sweet niece is feeling challenged, after your little scene at the ball she feels you pose a threat to her" I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "So she wants to fight me?" "That is how it seems" "So what do we do" "for right now.... nothing I need you to have faith in me to handle the situation and if you do not hear from me by midmorning Saturday then you come. Is that understood" "So let me get this straight you want me to sit here and wait another day and a half, Elijah I don't think you completely understand the situation at hand here, this is my family they could be bleeding out and set for desiccation as we speak, we need to do something now" "Stephanie you have my word that no more harm will come to your family or you" When Elijah said "I give you my word" you knew he meant business. 

"till tomorrow, thats it. if this isn't cleared by tomorrow then I'm coming and I promise you Elijah Cade himself isn't going to be able to hold me back" "I understand.... Well I should be returning now, Stephanie.. Draco" and with that he was gone. I looked over at draco with tears in my eyes. He wrapped me in his arms. " Shhh it's ok darling, we'll figure this out" "I can't loose them draco I just can't, their all I have left" "C'mon lets get you to your room" I nodded. 

**Sorry for the ending but i wanted it to be like a cliffhanger .... what do you guys think so far??**
