PRESENT // LILIANA + NEYMAR + MIRANDA
Lila was attending her final therapy session, she couldn't believe how far she had come. She made sure to thank Miranda a thousand times during their hour together; the Mexican was going to miss speaking to the Spaniard, they had really bonded during the time they spent together.
"What have you learnt during our sessions Liliana?"
Lila thought back to her first session with Miranda; she remembered the pain she felt inside of her body, the tremble in her hands, the fear if she allowed her emotions to fully take over. Two months down the line and she was a total different person; she spent the days laughing and smiling with Neymar, she went to bed happy and woke up even happier, she finally felt like she could continue her life.
"Self-love. I was running from all that haunted me; when I first attended these sessions, I was close to succumbing to what hurt me. I kept searching for the one thing that would set my soul free, I felt trapped within my body. In time, I stumbled upon it; an inner calm and peace, and now I am beginning, to see and believe in who I am becoming and all I've yet to be."
Miranda smiled at Lilia, she wiped a stray tear from her cheek. She took a deep breath and quickly scanned through her notes from their sessions, she grew emotional seeing the growth from the brunette.
"I am really proud of your progress Liliana and I truly mean that. I remember the timid, secretive, broken-down girl that walked into my office for her first session. Seeing you now is staggering. My only wish for you is; health, happiness and success in your future. You have a loving fiancé and from what you tell me, an equally loving family, go enjoy it."
The two women stood up and embraced each other. Lila had many things to thank Miranda for, but the main two were; helping her from her dark thoughts, but ultimately, becoming her friend, she became a person she could trust. Lila had struggled to tell people about what had happened with Hugo, but with Miranda's help, she knew he couldn't hurt her anymore.
"Thank you for everything you have done for me Miranda. I know it's your job, but I should admit at first I was sceptical, I honestly didn't think this would work. I could never repay you for the help and advice you have given me. Thank you."
