PRESENT // LILIANA, NEYMAR + MIRANDA
"So, Miss Lopez, tell me why you are here?"
Liliana, or Lila for short, looked up at the woman sat in front of her, she marvelled at the black coloured pupils. They told a story but unlike hers, it was a happy one. Miranda Chambers was a lot older than Lila; she had dark brown hair which touched her shoulders, it was curled ever so slightly to enhance her facial features, her lips formed into a little smile when she caught eye contact with the younger woman.
"I don't know where to begin."
Lila gazed at the sparkling diamond on her ring finger, she closed her eyes and remembered the night she became a fiancé. She remembered everything about it; the smile on her face, the way her heart beat sped up when she realised what was happening and the butterflies in her stomach when she saw the man of her dreams. But the happy memories were clouded by the recent bad ones, they were the reason why she was now sat in Miranda's office.
"There isn't a right way to answer my question Liliana, I'm here to listen and help. You can start from the beginning or the end, it's totally up to you. Let's start with your fiancé, tell me about him."
Lila smiled to herself, her cheeks turned a light pink, she could spend hours talking about him. He was the only good thing in her life. She thought back to her modelling career; she was proud of her success but it was now tarnished with bad memories and it was all his fault. She felt a single tear fall down her cheek, she quickly wiped it away, pushing a few strands of hair behind her ears.
Miranda watched Lila intently, she was beautiful to look at; she had long light brown hair, her green eyes showed much sadness and hurt, her hands were placed tenderly in her lap, she could tell she was nervous. She was mysterious and that intrigued the woman from Mexico.
Lila stood up from the couch and started to walk around the room, it was something she did to calm her nerves. She took a deep breath before she turned around to face Miranda.
"He's the love of my life. He's the reason I'm still on this planet; without him, I wouldn't have a reason to live. He makes me smile, he makes me laugh but I don't deserve his love."
"Why is that?"
Lila pondered the question, she had several answers she could potentially reply with. She ran her hands through her hair in frustration, spitting out numerous Spanish profanities. She had found herself lashing out at random times to the people she loved.
"Because I'm a horrible person. We are in this chaos because of me and I can't change what happened. He deserves to be with someone who will treat him better, someone who will give back as much love as he gives them, he deserves someone better. He shouldn't be in this mess, I pulled him into it and it isn't fair."
Lila couldn't stop the tears running down her cheeks; she wanted to head back to Spain, to her family and forget what was happening in her life. She once loved her life in Paris, but that all changed three months ago. That day was the first thing she thought about when she woke up and the last thing on her mind before she went to sleep. She couldn't get his face out of her head.

To say Neymar was miserable was an understatement; he was in the best form of his life, he looked forward to every game he played for with PSG. He knew that when he returned home from a game or training, his wonderful son and beautiful fiancé would be waiting for him, arms open wide with beaming grins on their faces. But he couldn't help the feeling of sadness he felt running through his veins on a daily basis, it was slowly becoming the only emotion he knew.
"How are you and Lila doing Ney?"
Neymar turned his head to face his manager, he found comfort in the Argentine. Mauricio knew his star player was going through a tough time, the glisten in his eyes had disappeared when he spoke about something he loved. He had given the Brazilian a couple of weeks off after the incident but he knew he needed more time to recover, it was going to be a long process before he was hopefully back to normal.
"Lila is a mess and I don't know what more I can do. It's ended up really bad; she's lashing out, she's crying all the time, I feel like I can't do anything right and it's tearing us apart."
Mauricio sighed and placed a reassuring hand on Neymar's shoulder, he took a seat in the empty chair and started to speak.
"Ney, Lila loves you. What she went through was tough, on the both of you, it's going to take time. Be patient, keep doing what you're doing and it will get better. Trust me."
"And what if it doesn't? I can't lose her."
"In my forty-eight years of living, I have never seen two people in love with each other more than you and Lila. You two are made for each other and that is why you will make it out of this."

Lila held her head in her hands and closed her eyes for a few seconds. She could only see one thing, his face. She saw; his ever-present smirk, the way his brown hair was always perfectly styled and the sparkle in his green eyes. It was the face that now haunted her dreams, the face that had turned her life upside down. She opened her mouth and released a deafening scream, it was something she had held in for a long time, but she was now tired of feeling all these emotions and she knew Miranda would be the person to eventually help her.
