I locked the door behind him and stood by my kitchen table, gun in hand ready to shoot and the machete was lying on the tabletop where I can grab it if needed, I was ready. I called his cell and left it on speaker so he could hear every sound and we waited together. "Anything strange?" came a whisper from the phone. "Nothing yet" I whispered back as my eyes scanned the room. Suddenly there it was, a window was sliding open very slowly from my bedroom.

"The bedroom window" I whispered "someone is here". "On my way" he whispered back and I imagined him flying over. Just the bathroom light was on, I wanted to make it as difficult as I could for him to see. I stood in my kitchen with only the light from the oven range illuminating around me. There he was tip toeing out of my room then down the hall, I heard that familiar creek in the floor by the bathroom and I was glad the landlord didn't get around to fixing it, I doubt he knew that I could see him. When he crept into the kitchen, he finally saw me and realized there was no need for stealth, he smiled at me.

"Well, well, what a sneaky little girl you are" he said as he eyed up my weapons. I was in shock and forgot what the plan was for a second, "how could this happen? I thought you got away, why are you here? Are you here to kill me? I asked Ryan. "Got away?" he asked, "I got caught trying to get help for you people, I should have ran like I wanted to but...it doesn't matter now, Anthony gave me a choice and yes...I am here to kill you, I volunteered" he gloated. In a split second he lunged at me. I barely had time to fire a shot while jumping to avoid his grasp, I missed and I was far from the machete now but I had the gun and if only I could get one shot.

He was fast, so fast, he grabbed me by the hair and threw me across the room, I slid into the wall and felt pain running through my body but I knew I had to fight. I got up and he was right there again reaching for me, I knocked his arm away and kicked him in the groin. He knelt down clutching at himself but came at me again and this time I punched him in the side of the face, as he stood there dazed and holding his cheek I made a play for the machete.

I grabbed it just as he was on me again, I swung as hard as I could and I ended up slitting his throat very deeply. Blood was pouring out everywhere and his head looked like it was about to fall off if he let it go.

The door came flying open and Dean came bursting into the room. He saw what was occurring and finished the job so fast, I was grateful for that. I'm standing there bloody machete in hand, breathing heavily. "I'm so sorry I couldn't get the damn main door open and I didn't wanna bust it cause the last thing we need is cops, are you alright? I knew this was a bad idea, you could've been killed, what the hell was I thinking letting you talk me into this" he was obviously upset.

"Go get cleaned up, we need to get rid of the body" he said.

"That was Ryan" I said "I thought he got away but...". "Ryan? the guy who escaped? That's too bad, I'm sorry" he said as he put his hand on my back. "That was awesome" I said with a big smile "I've never felt so alive, please Dean you have to teach me everything you know and I won't take no for an answer". I was determined to be a hunter.

After we cleaned up the mess and disposed of the body we decided it best not to mention anything to everyone back at Marcy's just yet. "You know she'll have a fit and kick my ass" Dean said. He was right though but I wanted to show Marcy that I wasn't helpless and if I had any hopes of her teaching me then she had to know that I could handle it. "Woah missed calls from Sam, five voicemails, what the hell is going on" said Dean looking at his phone as he drove on. "If I didn't know any better I'd say that Sammy knows something's up" he said.

"I don't like to lie, I can't lie believe me I've tried" I said as we pulled into Marcy's driveway. Marcy lives in a small two bedroom house, was more like a cottage, a cozy little retreat when you needed to unwind with delicious meals included.

She is a great cook and a very good friend, more like a mom and knowing her she was probably already making up beds for another night of entertaining. "Well your not really lying it's more like your going along with what I'm saying without saying anything" Dean said as we got out of the car. Something was wrong.

We could feel it before we even seen the garage door, it was partially open and the light inside was very dim and the glass on the door was smashed. Dean pulled out his gun and motioned for me to get in the car, I did go to the car but it was only to retrieve the machete, I was his backup whether he liked it or not. He gave me a quick disapproving look when he seen the weapon but I also saw the smallest look of relief, he pushed open the door and peered in first, I was right behind him ready for anything. He dropped his hands to his sides and stood there in the doorway, I heard Sam's voice "I tried to call you a bunch of times but..." said Sam.

"It was an ambush, I heard noise but when I came it was too late they were already running off, I didn't wanna chase them, she would have been alone if I did" he continued. We went in and my heart stopped. There was Marcy lying in a pool of blood, her throat looked as though it had been torn open by some sort of animal, it was awful and all I could do was stare. "We ran into some trouble at Emma's, it was the vamps, damn bastards set a trap, they were watching us the entire time and when we separated..." said Dean furiously. He was broken up, almost as I was, I could tell they cared about each other, these boys and Marcy. Marcy cared about everyone.

If I hadn't made that stupid plan we would have been here, it was all my fault. Dean rubbed my arm as if he knew what I was thinking, "it's not our fault, they waited for this they waited for us to separate and if it wasn't tonight they would have all came in here after Sam and I left town" he said and I knew he was right, they were waiting for the right time and they probably would have waited for days if they had to. Marcy is dead. "What happened?" asked Dean.

"We...she..Marcy came in here to grab an air mattress for Sara, I offered but she wouldn't have it, she just got up and said be right back and then I heard this loud bang, I came running but she was already laying here bleeding and three vamps ran off that way" said Sam as he was pointing towards the trees in the back. "She said ambush and something else but I couldn't understand and she just faded away". We stood there and had a moment of silence for our friend.

"We have to call someone, the police or ambulance or..." I said but honestly I didn't know what to do or how we would explain this to the authorities. "Where is the girl?" asked Dean. "Oh she's inside I told her not to come out" said Sam. "Air mattress for Sara? Why? The bed in the guest room is huge and it wouldn't have fit in there with the bed" I said. "Well Sara told Marcy that you asked for it, something about being more comfortable in the basement living room.

I was confused by this, I don't remember having that discussion with Sara. The three of us looked at each other and ran inside as quickly as we could. "Where is she?" said Dean as we looked around the house. Sara was nowhere to be found.

We wrapped up Marcy as best as we could, Dean was determined to give her a proper hunters funeral and Sam agreed. But Sam was somewhat skeptical because Marcy's disappearance would be noticed and we all knew that if we went ahead with the funeral we would have to disappear after that. There were just too many witnesses who have seen all of us together the last few days. "You and I are used to vanishing when we have to but we can't drag Emma down with us, especially if she ever wants a normal life one day "said Sam. "You're right Sam" said Dean. "Wait, don't I get a say in what is best for Emma?" I said. They both looked at me with surprised expressions but I could tell they agreed with me. "I'm sorry if I seem ungrateful it's just that I cared about Marcy too and if the funeral is what she would want then that's what we are going to do for her and if that means that I have to go underground after then so be it. I'm an adult and I know there will be consequences to our actions but like I said, so be it" I said.
