These events take place before Chris goes into the mindscape. The fight scene, of course, is after.

Mia sighed, looking around a bit. There was nothing to do here. Most people seemed to be talking, or zoned out, seemingly in their mindscape training with their Kyoki.

She'd taken a liking to the small group, particularly Moses and Chris. She had known Moses during their time in captivity, with the two talking until they couldn't because of the restrictions. Moses was her preferred sparring partner because of this, as well as how he was constantly using his abilities in new and exciting ways. Not that she was any slouch herself.

However, things had changed between the two, though neither had fully realized anything. They , in confusion, had grown apart, and today was the day that they talked about it, they purposed in themselves. However, this wasn't a conversation that the two felt should be known to the world.

Going into the mindscape, Mia met Moses meditating. The boy did it to calm his mind before events, such as fighting and general physical activity. He had come here to train.

Mia shrugged. Well whatever, she thought. This wasn't something that couldn't wait for a sparring session.

"Oy, Moses!" she yelled, trying to jar him into activity.

Moses flinched instinctively, then relaxed when he realized the voice of who said it. "Y'know, it's bad manners to interrupt someone when they're meditating."

"Do I get a pass for being your friend?" She asked, jokingly.

"But of course," he said, shaking his head in mock snootiness. "Only my friends get to do it. Care for some light sparring?"

"Sure," she said, getting some training clothes on. "Don't hold back this time, ok?"

"Ok," he said, readying himself.

The two dashed at each other. Mia summoned a naginata, swinging it in a wide arc. Moses grinned, while summoning his staff to block it.

Moses' staff was capable of turning into either water or earth. He could also turn it into poison, in case he wanted to kill the person. It made for interesting sparring manuevers.

Spinning, Mia shortened the naginata into a short sword, and rushed to meet him. The two exchanged blows, each one getting masterfully parried or dodged by the other. That was when things started heating up.

Moses suddenly called up spikes from the earth, using that to throw off her balance. Jumping in the air, she fired a bolt of chakra at Moses, who turned his staff into water to capture the bolt, effectively energizing it. She fired two more chakra bolts, but this time, exploded them on impact. They caused a chain reaction, leading to the one Moses had in his staff exploding as well, causing a ton of smoke.

when the smoke cleared, Moses was no longer there. Making a pseudo-steel bunker, she used a sensory technique she had made herself. Seelen-finder.

Seelen-finder, or soul finder, was a technique made by her after looking at Assassin's Pride and thinking to herself, 'these people should have a detection technique. Especially the clown class. I mean, the guy's a literal spy.'

Basically, how it worked was that she spread out medical chakra, as well as mana, over an area to detect abnormalities. It took a great deal of chakra, though, and an almost greater amount of control to not accidentally heal the enemy. She'd need to work on a better one, one that didn't require a seal to work without her chakra/mana. She'd made strides, though. For one, she didn't need to injure the opponent to get it to work.

Concentrating for a bit, her eyes widened to see him directly below him. Quickly using substitution, her eyes widened as the bunker below her was cut to pieces before being swallowed whole by the earth.

I never realized it, but it's slow, too. I really need to improve that skill.

Powering up with mana, Mia used the samurai sword ability, quickdraw, before switching to gladiator and using Garrick Hammer. Moses smiled and turned his staff into gloves, before catching the ability.

As a small tremor formed beneath them, Moses smiled. "You've gotten stronger."

"You've gotten faster."

"I suppose I have." He smiled. "But," he said, "it looks like this is my victory.

"You see, you've been fighting a clone. An earth dummy, to be precise. While it is, in fact, weaker than me, it is faster than it should be, given it's element. No matter, I guess. But, you see, I've been gathering energy. Because I want to show you the extent of my control. Of course, you won't die in the mindscape, since it's well, the mindscape. Enjoy."

Suddenly, water materialized all around her, quickly freezing her in place.

"Water Creation . . ."

Struggling to resist, she was quickly frozen in what must have been a stalk of sorts.

"Magic. . ." Moses muttered, blood starting to dribble down his mouth.

"Beautiful Ice flower." Moses finished, before nearly collapsing.

Looking up, he smiled grimly. "I've won."

"If only."

Turning around in shock, he was blasted by pressurized air.

"Air . . . magic?" He managed to utter out, the wind knocked out of him.

"No . . . they are two elements on that binder of yours. Similar to mine in that regard."

"Correct," Mia said, readying herself for the backlash of her own spell. "However, mines grow with each other. Maybe because of your partiality to water. But I digress.

"It is now time for my attack. Apologies in advance.

"Flame and Air Magic . . ."

"Grandiose Mercury."

And everything was suddenly in flames, as the air changed and Chris and Moses burned to death for the first and last time in forever.
