Standing in the elevator and all I can think about is finally living on my own and being able to do whatever.

The elevator dings signaling we're on the sixth floor. I exit the elevator and walk to the left until I see my new home, apartment 61.

I unlock the door and step inside, holy shit. I can't contain my excitement so I decide to explore the whole place. It's beautiful and modern, all the walls either black or white. It's got a small living room and kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and a bedroom with a huge walk in closet. This is the life, oh and it kinda has the faintest smell of a man. Hm.

My mom was on the phone with my dad when I returned to the living room.
"Did you tell him we're ready?" I asked
"Yep he's going around back and is gonna start sending things up in the elevator"
I exit the apartment and walk towards the elevator. It opened revealing my dad with four moving boxes. This is going to take awhile.

A little over an hour later every moving box is out of the truck and in my living room. I have a lot of work to do.

My dad is in my bedroom putting together my bed and after this they're heading home.

My dad comes out of the bedroom and grabs his coat and keys.
"Are you sure you'll be okay alone?" He asks
"Yeah, I'll be fine, I promise"
I have him and my mom huge hugs
"I'll miss you guys, drive safe" I said
I saw my mom tear up.
"Goodbye"
And with that they left.

I looked out the huge window to see the sky getting darker and the city lights getting brighter. I'm so tired and I just want to sleep. I decided I'll unpack tomorrow, I need sleep. I went into the bedroom and put my phone on the charger and laid in bed. I could feel my eyes getting heavy, then finally shut.
