After a few minutes of driving, I'm finally in front of the school where I've decided to transfer. I carefully searched through social media and discovered that Canterlot High School is one of the most powerful schools in terms of sports, particularly volleyball for both girls and boys.
I also read that they were short on volleyball players for girls, so they couldn't make it to the match last week, where I discovered my teammates' betrayal of me.
I skipped happily towards the school's entrance, seeing students chattering in the hallways. They appeared friendly because some of them said hello and hi to me. I took my time finding the Principal's office to register myself as an official Canterlot High School student.
When I found the Principal's Office, I quickly opened the door with a huge smile on my face. I felt the cold air from the air conditioner happily welcoming me to school.
In front of me was a woman in her thirties sitting in front of a desk. She was writing something on a piece of paper while wearing square reading glasses. Her gaze was drawn to mine, and she was unable to continue writing.
"Uh, hello?" I said, looking around.
"Hello there, may I help you?" the woman said as she removed her reading glasses and placed them safely on the table. I cleared my throat and told her what I needed.
"I'm a transfer student from Crystal Prep Academy," I explained as she gratefully accepted the brown envelope I handed her.
She set the envelope on her desk and turned to face me, saying, "Oh! So you're the one who emailed us yesterday, Ms...Rarity Belle, am I right?" I nodded in response.
"Then, sweetie," she began, grabbing something from her desk and handing it to me. She grinned. "Welcome to Canterlot High School; I've already set up your schedule and locker."
I accepted the pieces of paper she handed me with a warm smile. Then I remembered something. The reason I came here in the first place. I lean against the desk and look at her.
"Uh, I heard that the volleyball girl's team is short on players...I was wondering if I could join them because I used to play volleyball at Crystal Prep and I wanted to continue playing volleyball here at CHS," I explained.
Her face lit up with a huge grin. "Oh, is that it? Of course, you can! The volleyball girl's team is actually recruiting new players inside the gym." she explained. Then she started pointing me in the direction of the gym. I bid her goodbye and dashed towards the gym.
As I approached the gym, I noticed several girls serving, receiving, and tossing the ball in the center of the court. I was in awe as I watched them play.
They are good!
Someone suddenly tapped my shoulders. I turn around to see a tall blonde girl standing in front of me. She was ridiculously tall, and her body is incredibly fit.
She tilted her head and smiled at me. "Hey, are you lost or what?"
In a playful tone, she said. For some reason, it made me blush.
I smiled, disagreeing with her question. "Absolutely not! I'm here to join volleyball; do you know them?" I asked, pointing to a group of girls at my back who was having a good time.
For a split second, her eyes were fixed on me. She then placed both of her hands on my shoulders and smiled at me. "Of course! Let's go," she said as she gently pushed me into the gym.
Returning my attention to the game, I noticed a bacon-haired girl leap into the air, spiking the ball toward a tiny girl. The spike was extremely fast and powerful, but I was astounded when that tiny girl saved the ball like it was nothing.
