"We all know why she died. Why won't you admit it?"
"Because it hasn't been confirmed yet Jessica, and no one really knows if she was even going to talk."
"Lets just ask Evangeline they were best friends so she would know."
"How about you don't ask me. We all know the truth she was going to talk, I told her not to. This time it's on her." I tell them.
"Victim blaming now Angie? Is this really the person you want to be?"
"Yes Katie, now leave me alone I have to go practice."
"Wait we have practice today?"
"No, I was told to take Alyssa's spot. I have to practice more now." I say as I start walking out of the main hallway.
"Hold on so you are the lead now? Just like that?"
"Yes, now will you please leave me alone?"
"Yeah just answer one more question please?"
"Fine, but then I really have to go."
"Why would you take the spot knowing Alyssa was murdered because of it."
"Alyssa didn't get murdered because of the role, she got killed because she wanted to speak out. She made her choice and now she is stuck with the consequences. Now I really have to go I'll see you around."
All day this is how it's been. Everyone wants to know why Alyssa really died. Truth is even I don't know.
Two days before she died she told me that she wanted to tell the police about our director and how he was touching her. I told her not to because it would do more harm then good.
Before she got here the same thing would happen to me and the time I spoke out no one believed me. They said I need evidence and you would be surprised how easy it is for them to get ride of evidence.
I never got justice but I'm okay with that now. Most of the time when you do speak out they just do it more often, but they really killed Alyssa.
I mean I wouldn't put it pass some people but our director was a weird dude not a killer. If I'm being honestly scared, I dance amazingly but Alyssa was my best friend and I've been off my game ever since I found out she was gone.
I wish I knew the full truth, I can't help but blame myself. First she dies and then I'm asked to take her part. I feel guilty, I know I shouldn't have gotten this part it was obviously made for Alyssa. Hell I can't even dance it correctly.
I've taken parts once a person got hurt before but those were sprained ankles and broken legs not a death especially not a best friends death.
But I have to push all of that aside if I want to get this part right. I have to do whatever it takes but I also need justice for Alyssa. She has helped me in ways I can't even explain. I'm torn on wether I should stay quiet or say what she never got the chance to.
I hear a knock on the door to the practice room. I see it's Anthony.
"Hey gorgeous, director wants to see you in his office."
"You have to stop calling me that during work hours. What does Michael want anyway?"
"I don't know, he probably wants to go over the dance or change it. He told me to come and get you."
"Okay well I'll see you later I guess."
I grab my things and hurry to Michael's office. If there is one way to make Michael mad it is keeping him waiting. Once I'm at the door I knock and wait for him to answer.
