☦︎ Eren's character is one that's layered with these four emotions: anger, nervousness, confusion and indecisiveness. He thrives to get what he desires to get, disregarding others' feelings if they've left something for too long. He'll give them a chance, but the moment the imaginary limit exceeds, all the patience he has put aside, crumbles, allowing him to pursue what he wants — even if he's confused about what it is he desires to get. He's an asshole with reasons. Who wouldn't be an asshole if someone misjudged your character, only wanting you for one reason?

Jean's character is displayed as eager in the story. Jean is keen on getting what he wants but is never able to fully fulfil what he truly wants as he's always subtle, never ending up in the place he wants to be. Being the best friend of a man, who is unfathomable, is tiring in his eyes. But never once has he ever complained/attempted to, as Eren's someone he considers as someone true to him, despite his nature. Jean's always second place to Eren, shifting his friendship with Eren in a negative direction. His desperation for a second chance is what lands him in his situation. It's either be bright or be a dim light with no hope.
