"Eren, it's Pieck here. I just wanted to say Zeke has overdosed, again," A woman said, a woman Eren recognised as Pieck. It seemed as if she had Zeke's phone, as Eren's phone remained layered with the words and pictures, that showed that it was indeed his brother's phone. He found it rather odd that the woman, known as Pieck, was calling him at this serene time. Calling him with a minuscule reassurance within her unrevealing tone.

Eren couldn't help but find a part of his whimsical world deeply shatter against his billowing chest. He wasn't expecting such a sombre call to occur, nor had he noticed his brother's progress receding. He remains in the unsettling silence, his eyes widening as his mind cleared of a single thought, repressing his ability to function straight, being able to gift a fitting answer. He couldn't help but meekly grip onto you further, allowing a few passing seconds to skim by, until it all faltered and disdainfully crumbled upon his confused frame.

"Overdosed? What do you mean he has overdosed? Zeke had been clean for a while, I checked on him frequently." Eren's brittle tone becomes laced with a tint of crazed confusion; he's unable to bring himself to settle on what was occurring. No, he didn't want his body to be aware of the events that had occurred.

"He's currently not clean, he's been taken elsewhere. I'm sorry this call was short, I have to go now. Take care, Eren." Eren's breathing grows calloused as you allow yourself to slightly rise from his thudding chest, partially taken aback by the shift in his, once gentle, heartbeat. His heartbeat wasn't a beautiful lulling form, it held a troubled entity. An entity that had not a stain of light gifted to its unmerciful state.
