Chapter 8

It has been a week since the zoo accident. It was a Saturday, the day that they would have the meeting with Jagged Stone.

Nathalie: Good morning Mei.

Mei: Good morning mommy.

Nathalie is getting used to being called mommy/mama.

Nathalie: Let's get you ready for the meeting today.

Mei: Ok mommy.

Nathalie had already showered but put on a giant long sleeved gray shirt that reached half her thigh. She lives with the Agreste's. When she finished, she went to feed Trixx, Mei's Tiger cub, Then changed into business attire.

Gabriel met Adrien at the end of the stair case. Then Nathalie came down with Mei. They were wearing:

Gabriel was blushing, he had never seen Nathalie with her hair down before and personally he thinks she is beautiful.

Nathalie thought Gabriel looked hot.  She didn't expect it but she wasn't complaining.

Later, Jagged Stone, his assistant Penny and of course Fang, was led to Gabriel's office. Adrien was ecstatic

Jagged: So, did you have another kid?

Jagged was looking at Mei, who was holding a leash that was connected to the choler of Trixx.

Gabriel: Um, no.

Adrien: That is Marinette.

Penny: Nettie!?

Nathalie: You know her?

Jagged: Yeah, we were working on a duet together. She made the rock n' roll Eifel tower glasses.😎

Penny: Yeah, and he hasn't taken 'em off since. 😑

Adrien looked like he was about to faint. Nathalie stared at Mei, Gabriel was shocked at first then started the meeting. As usual, everything WAS going smoothly. Notice me emphasizing the 'was'.

Mei: Alligator!!

Adrien: oh no

Jagged: I'm lost here.

Adrien: She has an obsession with Big cats and alligators. That is why we let her keep the Tiger.

Penny: Pfft .. hahahahah. Oh my, you definitely got yourselves into trouble this time Nathalie.

Nathalie: Ugh, don't rub it in.

Mei launched herself at Fang and let go of the leash she was holding. Trixx started growling at Fang who was being pet by Mei. Mei called Trixx over to her so she could pet both of them.

Jagged: Anyways, about the jacket- ......

The meeting finished and Mei was asleep. Not good. They waved goodbye to Jagged and Penny, Fang was following beside them. They turned to a sleeping Mei.

Nathalie: Well would you look at that, my chances of finally getting sleep? Out the window and into the sewers.

Adrien saw this as a moment to get his father and Nathalie to spend some time together, alone. Being with younger Mari made him realize he wanted a sibling.

Adrien: Well, I'm going to sleep tonight. You guys are going to stay with Mei until she sleeps tonight. You guys are technically her parents for the time being, sooo... bye Felicia's.

It was night time, Mei was in bed, Adrien was asleep, Gabriel is in the hallway to Mei's room. Nathalie is singing to Mei to try to get her to sleep.

Gabriel: Hello Nath.

Nathalie: Nath? Where did that come from?

Gabriel: I just thought it suited you.

Nathalie: Thanks.

Gabriel took time to analyze what Nathalie was wearing.

Mei: Daddy!!

Nathalie sighs trying to calm the squealing child

Gabriel: How's getting her to sleep?

Nathalie stood up. Gabriel was just a head taller than

Nathalie: *sigh* I've tried. I sang to her, told her a story, I even let her cuddle with Trixx hoping that her purring will get her to sleep but nothing is working.

Mei: Daddy and Mommy kiss, Mei go to sleep.

Nathalie and Gabriel blush.

Mei: Why mommy and daddy look like tomatoes.

Gabriel was looking at Mei in disbelief. Nathalie was trying to calm her blushing face. Mei just sat up waiting for the kiss to happen. Gabriel lowered his head to face Nathalie. Was it bad that he wanted to kiss her?

Nathalie: u-um, Gabriel y-you don't have to if yo-

Nathalie was cut off by Gabriel pressing his lips to hers. She stiffened at first then melted into the kiss. Mei got Nathalie's phone and snapped a picture, then sent it to Adrien. She let the couple kiss to their lung's desire and went to bed thinking, 

'Adrien can thank me later'

Eventually, the couple had to break the kiss because they are humans, and humans need air.(That is why I put lung's instead of heart's)

Nathalie: I-I'm in love with you.

When she said that she immediately slapped her hand over her mouth.

GABRIEL POV

I know it now. I'm in love with Nathalie. When she said she loved me, I kissed her again. I couldn't get enough of it. I broke away because we needed to breathe.

Gabriel: I love you too

Nathalie: Really?

Gabriel: Yes. I don't know why I didn't see it before.

We turned to Mei only to find her asleep. Tomorrow, I'm gonna ask Nat out on a date.
