6. School and lies

Sorry i kind of neglected this story for over a year as i was very busy but I'm back and I'm going to finish this story, i hope you are all still interested! i have altered some of the previous chapters but not majorly so go back and read if you want but it is not much needed.

I'm kind of nervous to restart this story as it has been over a year and my mind is completely blank of ideas but i hope whatever i come up with, you guys will like :)

This chapter will be quite long as i have left you guys for so long so be prepared! 

Marinettes POV:

Cat Noir placed a blindfold over my eyes and held my hand gently, 'gosh he has soft hands' i thought to myself while trying to keep a poker face. We walked down the long halls and down some stairs before i got a gush of cold air hitting my cheeks while the sun shone down on me making me feel slightly warmer; Cat guided me to the car, opened the door for me and helped me sit down onto the comfy seats.

"Marinette" i heard a voice which i could figure out was Cat Noir's "Yes?" i replied "When i drop you off to school, ill leave the vehicle before you to make sure no one is around, then i will leave you alone because i have my own business to attend to so just count to 60 then remove your blindfold and go to school. I will know if you disobey my rules and if i was you i wouldn't. Understood?" he spoke firmly "Understood." was all i replied before falling silent and not speaking for the rest of the ride.

I felt the car coming to a stop and some people getting out the car, after i had counted 60 seconds in my head, i finally said "can i leave now?" and i heard a faint voice say "Yes, Miss Marinette." so i took the blindfold off and was greeted with the side of my school, i took a deep breath before walking to the front of the school so it didn't look suspicious. once i reached the bottom of the steps i saw Alya and Nino at the top of them which eased my nerves; i smiled as i approached them.

"Hey girl! Why did you not answer my messages or calls last night? I wanted to tell you some inside scoop on Ladybug but then i began to get worried" she said with a concerned look on her face "Sorry Alya, I got caught up with a new design and you know how forgetful i am so i just wanted to get it over and done with" i lied with a smile on my face.

Lying has become second nature to me since I've become ladybug so it wasn't too hard lying to her, i wish i could tell her the truth but i was scared if Cat Noir was around and could hear me so i decided it was best to just lie to her...

"Okay girl, well i heard that ladybug has gone AWOL, there was an attack the other night and she never showed up. Apparently her friends aren't doing to well without her" she gossiped, i couldn't help but feel bad, i know i have been kidnapped of some sort but i have still let my team down and i wish that i could've helped them. i need to find a way to escape some time so that people don't start piecing things together. 

"Maybe she has gone on vacation and didn't tell anyone? I'm not sure but there must be a god reason, Ladybug wouldn't just abandon her city" I said hopefully reassuring her. She just smiled in agreement and Nino held her hand "Come on babe, we need to get to our first class" he said with a smile. I looked over at him and smiled, him and Alya are so cute, he always looks out for her and always wants the best for her. I wish i had someone like that...

~~~cut to lunch~~~

We sat down at our usual table with me, Alya, Nino, Adrien and the rest of our group. They were all talking about their weekends and how eventful they were, mine was definitely more different from all theirs but obviously i couldn't say anything about it.

"Marinette, you have been really quiet today. Are you okay?" Adrien asked me, i blushed at the thought he cared about me but tried not to stay in the moment for too long as I'm trying to move on from him since I've realised I'm out of his league.

"Yeah Adrien, thank you for asking" i said with a smile "How about you?" i questioned, making small talk "Yeah I'm all good" he smiled at me while putting a thumbs up. I smiled at him a little longer than i probably should have but then Alya shot me out my thoughts "So Marinette, what did you do all weekend, there's no way you spent it on designs!" she said smiling.

I really hate lying to her but i have to, Cat Noir has eyes and ears everywhere and he will know if i ever say something. "Well Friday I had a little argument with my parents, then I just went for a walk so that wasn't very exciting" I said while acting like I'm thinking but instead I'm trying to come up with more lies.

"Saturday was spent on planning my design and Sunday i spent doing the design" I said with a fake smile hoping i fooled her "Wow Mari, you need to start leaving your house more. How about you come to the movies with me tomorrow." She said with a smile then her eyes narrowed "By the way that wasn't a question it was a demand" she giggled "Ill pay for your ticket and food so don't worry about the money and cancel all your plans" she added.

"Yeah sure Alya. Sounds fun!" i replied. in reality it didn't sound fun because i'd have to come up with another lie tomorrow night because i doubt Cat Noir will let me out with friends, god I'm surprised he even let me go to school! 

The bell rang and everyone disappeared out of the cafeteria into their lessons. I hope Cat lets me leave school, i cant keep coming up with excuses like this. he told me he has told my parents that I'm staying with Alya for a while off my phone and they seemed okay with it so i hope he doesn't keep me too long...
