4. Dinner with Kitty

Cat Noir/Adriens POV

I had to act like i didn't know her, to keep my identity a secret. The destruction miraculous was given to me by Hawkmoth who is the boss of us all, i come in second as the Cat Noir miraculous is very powerful compared to my friends. It hurt so much, i would never dream of doing this to a friend, never mind her. She's my best friend, after Nino of course, if Luka or Kim dares to go anywhere near her romantically while she's here, they will have to hand their miraculous' back to me.

I love Marinette, as a friend of course, i would never let her get her heart broke off one of those. Nino is dating her bestfriend so i don't have to worry about him and that's why he's also my bestfriend, even if he wasn't with Alya, i know he would respect me if i told him to not go near her.

I invited her to dinner as i don't want her to think Cat Noir is truly a bad person. Although she has never saw the bad in anyone, i could see the amount of hatred she had for me in her beaut- i mean bluebell eyes.

I feel so guilty for holding her captive, but i know that she will tell her bestfriend and Alya would write about how bad i am on her blog and i don't want to be more hated than i already am. Yes i am a bad guy, but for good reason, i only go after the bad guys and occasionally ruin the city to uphold my reputation and stay relivent, and to see my favourite person, m'lady.

I'm in love with a super hero, Ladybug, but she despises me with every inch of her body as she's a hero and i'm a villain, so i don't blame her to be completely honest. Anyway enough about me, my princess will be here any second.

*knock knock*

'This will be her' I smiled to myself as i made my back face where she would be sitting. I heard the door open and the sound of high heels clicking to the opposite end of the table i was sat at.

"Kitty?" She spoke sweetly, i love her nikname for me, even though i'm suppose to be a bad guy she still finds time to make me seem good. "Purrincess, you made it" i said with a smile and turned my chair so i was facing her.

She looked directly into my eyes and i stared in awe as she smiled sweetly at me "Cat got your tongue?" she smirked, using a pun which made me giggle.

"I'm the one that's suppose to be using the puns here princess" i smirked and she blushed which made my cheeks feel hot, 'she's so cute' i thought to myself then quickly removed the thought, 'she's just a friend Adrien, remember that' i thought.

'I don't know why these new feelings have all of a sudden came up... i've never felt like this towards her' my body froze as she looked back up with me furrowing her eyebrows "everything okay?" she spoke softy "y-yeah, you hungry?" i questioned.

she smiled and nodded so i snapped my fingers and the waiters brought us our food. As we began eating i decided a little small talk wouldnt hurt "What was you doing all alone in the streets in the middle of the night? If i hadn't of found you, anything could of happened!" i said sounding a little protective and her head shot up and her eyes widened i shock.

"May i remind you that you literally kidnapped me!" She snapped back. Oops, forgot i was Car Noir for a second "Well yeah, but for good reason remember princess, you would've exposed me and my friends if i didn't, we both know that" she sighed "yeah true" she smiled a little which made me smile as her smile is contagious.

"Who do you work for? Why was you spying on us?" i interrogated, if she wasn't working for anyone, what was she doing so out so late? it made no sense. She looked up at me again "Youre not seriously asking me that, right?" she giggled and i looked at her confused and she stopped, realising i was being serious.

she coughed and looked at me "i'm a high school student Cat Noir, do you know how stressful that is alone? Never mind working against you." she giggled once again and i rolled my eyes 'yes actually, i go high school with you' I turned back into bad cop, i cant go soft on her, she must know something.

"i'm not joking anymore Marinette Dupan-Cheng" i looked at her angrily "H-how do you know my real name?" she looked worried and i smirked "don't test me and answer my question honestly" she looked down "i promise, i was just curious that's why i looked down the alley" she looked back up and realised i still didn't believe her.

She sighed and looked back down "i argued with my parents and ran away... Then i stumbled upon you guys in the alley, my curiosity took over me so i decided to see what all of the shouting was about. I'm sorry Kitty, i really am." she said as she looked back up, her eyes full of tears.

My heart ached seeing my best friend in such a state "O-okay, stop crying please princess, i didn't mean it" i said attempting to calm her down. She gave me a sad smile and stood up "I-i'm sorry Kitty but may I be excused? Im exhausted." she said bowing her head "Y-yes, Ni- i mean Bubbler, take Miss Marinette to her room please" he nodded and walked beside her.

I sat back in my chair and sighed, why would i make my princess feel like this, she doesn't deserve none of this. Not a bit, she's the last person that this should of happened to. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

'I'm sorry princess' i thought before picking myself up and walking to my own room which was the opposite hers as i didn't want to be too far from her. "Goodnight Princess" i said loud enough for her to hear but i got no response so i went into my own room, still feeling guilty.
