Guess who has finally answered your prayers? :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day I was in the dojo helping my dad pack things up. Which wasn't much, considering the fact that the only really important things here is my dad's trophy's. After a few minutes I heard the bell signaling that someone walked in. My dad took a sip of his beer before sending me a confused look, I shrugged in response as he put his beer down on the desk.
The two of us made our way out of the office only to see Miguel with a still slightly bruised face. "My mom says I can train again." My dad asked confused "She did?" Miguel respond with "Yeah." He then walked closer to the two of us arms open wide, he continued "I mean, if we still have the dojo." Me and my dad both looked at each other, before looking back at Miguel a smile sat on my face as my dad walked over to him.
"We do for now. But I need to know, are you ready to take things to the next level?"
Miguel eagerly responded "Yes, Sensei" My dad started to circle around Miguel as he spoke "You got your ass kicked because you didn't have any defense, so I'm gonna teach you the best defense that you can know." My dad stood off to the side as he gestured for me to face Miguel. "And the best defense..." I went in front of Miguel and brought my hands up quickly, holding one fist close to Miguel's face "Hai!" I yelled as I stared Miguel down and finished my dads sentence.
"...Is more offense."
Miguel and I both did push ups on our knuckles as dad walked around watching the two of us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Ready?"

Miguel stood in front of a pitching machine with protective pads on his arms and chest. Me and my dad stood behind him, a couple of feet away.

"Yes, Sensei"

My dad pressed the button on the remote causing a baseball to go flying at Miguel, he blocked it successfully but the baseball hit the wall causing a hole to form, Miguel looked back at the two of us fearfully, my dad hit the button again causing another baseball to come flying. Miguel was distracted and didn't notice the ball, only for it to end up hitting his hand, he groaned in response and shook his hand in pain.

Once Miguel calmed down he went back into a fighting stance, after a few seconds he, once again, looked over at my dad as if wondering when he would press the button. Right as he did my dad pressed the button causing a ball to fly out of the pitching machine and hit Miguel in the crotch "Oh!" He yelled as he hunched over in pain. This got a chuckle of amusement out of me.

After a few minutes Miguel focused back at the machine in front of him, my dad pressed the button. A baseball shot at Miguel only for him to block it with his right arm. Another ball shot at Miguel and he blocked it again with the same arm.

I held Miguel in a headlock, as he tried desperately to escape. "What does a cobra do?" My dad asked, while standing by us watching. Miguel still couldn't get out so he asked again "What does a cobra do?" Miguel started to tap my arm to let him go, I laughed a little while saying "There's no tapping in karate" I still held him in the head lock as he continued to struggle.

My dad again asked "What does a cobra do?" Miguel suddenly pulled my arm down, and moved behind me with the arm still in his hands. Miguel yelled "Slither!" I looked over at him an impressed smirk on my face "Not bad." I commented, and he sent me a small smile in response.

Miguel and I were now sparing, punch after punch he blocked until I lifted my leg up and kicked him in the abdomen, causing him to fly back. My dad circled us and watched closely. I lifted my leg again and kicked him in the shoulder, I threw a punch and he ducked moving around behind me.

I turned quickly I could tell he was getting tired as I kicked him, he blocked it. I turned a little and elbowed him in the face, causing him to fall back on the ground.

"Watch your arms. Get your arms up."

My dad commented as he helped Miguel up. "My arms were up." Miguel stated as he stood back up to face me again. My dad stepped back and we started to fight. I threw the first punch, he blocked it, I punched again, this time he used both arms to block, sending my arm up. Bringing my other fist to punch him, he brought his arms back down to block. I sent a kick to his abdomen sending him stumbling back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Miguel stood back in front of the pitching machine, I held the remote and pressed it, sending the first ball flying towards him. Miguel quickly blocked it. Another ball came and he blocked that one as well. The next ball was shot and he jumped up to block it with his right arm, blocking the next one with his left elbow. The very last one was blocked with his knee.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Miguel and I were sparing once again, I sent a kick, as Miguel stepped back dodging it. I sent another kick towards him, only for him to move his head quickly and slid back to dodge. I threw a punch only for him to block it, another punch was thrown and he ducked, blocking the other one I was about to send.

I brought my knee up to hit him only for him to quickly drop my arm and grab my knee to push it past him, avoiding the hit. As soon as my leg landed on the ground I turned to elbow him in the face, only for him to grab my elbow and send me forward. As I was gaining my balance Miguel was quick to sweep his leg underneath me, causing me to fall back on the ground.

I looked up at Miguel only for him to nod his head a little as if saying 'I win' only for my dad to press the button to the pitching machine, a ball flew out of it and hit Miguel in the ear, this sent Miguel to his knees as he gripped his ear in pain "What, what the hell? That...that wasn't fair." I stood up in amusement as my dad spoke.

"You want a fair fight? Dream on. You can't always think your enemies are gonna play by the rules"

"Yeah but...my ear."

I felt bad for Miguel as he leaned on the ground in immense pain. My dad spoke "What if that baseball was your enemies friend coming at you from behind?" Miguel slowly stood up as my dad continued "You have to be prepared for everything." My dad moved Miguel's hand so he could look at it, and I did as well.

I cringed at how bad it was, but my dad on the other hand thought otherwise "No, it's fine, it's fine. Don't be a baby." Miguel continued to hold his ear in pain, the door bell jingled, letting us know that someone was coming inside. I looked over only to notice a bunch of girls in yoga outfits, with yoga mats, walking through the door.

I stared at them confused as the lady leading the group said "Hello" to the three of us. My dad rubbed his nose a little before saying "Ah, shit." The lady who is already annoying me, stated "It's 5:00. Twilight is upon us." My dad mumbled a response "Oh, right, right." I looked back over at my dad before throwing a thumb in the yoga girls direction.

"What are they doing here?"

"What's going on?"

Miguel and I both asked practically the same question but in different ways, at the same time. "Uh, I had to sublet the dojo for a few hours." The three of us looked over to the girls who started take off there shoes and put a banner over 'Strike first, Strike hard, No mercy' my dad finished with "Just till we get more students." The leader of the yoga ladies spoke up.

"We need to change the energy in here."

Sitar music now started playing as the three of us watched them start to roll out their yoga mats "Center your energy" the lady stated to them as they all got on their mats and went into the Cobra pose. (Very coincidental)

"And stretch"

The lady spoke again, causing the three of us to walk off one by one. Miguel walked off first and I followed close behind, finally after a second or two, my dad followed the both I us back into his office.
