Flashback
Your body was propped up against a tree in the middle of a forest. Your body had fallen unconscious after running for who knows how long, not to mention the burns that dotted your skin from head to toe. A certain red headed fairy was kind enough to have put any effort into trying to heal your wounds.

Your eyes flickered open. You turned your head in an effort to scan your surroundings, however you stopped when your eyes came across a fairy with long, red hair. "Oh, you're awake. Hello!" the fairy with red hair said. "Who?. . ." you started, but you fell silent. "My name is Gloxinia. You're in the Fairy King's Forest."

(Your POV)

I sat on the edge of a cliff that I came across while hunting. I decided to take a break, plus, I've already taken down enough animals for now. I doubt Meliodas would care if I took a small breather.

Before I left, he said that he felt an ominous aura flood across the continent when we were in Liones.  I didn't want to assume the worst, and I highly doubted that Hendrickson somehow lived after Meliodas's attack. But if Hendrickson truly did succeed in resurrecting the Demon race, then we were all in deep shit. All the more reason to hate Hendrickson with every atom in my body!~

Next time I see that boreish, brainless idiot Hendrickson I swear I am going to tear him apart, burn his limbs and  scatter his ashes off a cliff. Yes, that sounds like a befitting fate for a man who manipulated young knights into drinking the blood of a damned Demon.

I huffed, then sunk my sword into its sheath. I'd better get back to the tavern before it gets too dark.

The moment I pushed the wooden door to the tavern open, I was bombarded by the thick stench of humans and ale. A pair of scents that I found near one another quite often, if I were to admit.

Of course, it was night time— or, at least, early evening— when all the men from the nearby village came to the tavern to get drunk and forget the day.
Well, a combination of that and the people who were celebrating Hendrickson's death.

I ignored the crowd and went upstairs to my room, then immediately flopped onto the bed from sheer exhaustion. I was just about to doze off when I heard a knock on the door.

I sat up and turned around. "Door's open!" I called out, loud enough for whoever was on the other side of the door to hear.
The door creaked open to reveal a familiar head of blond hair: Meliodas.

"The Ten Commandments are back," he said. My whole body stiffened for a moment, and a flash of worry crossed my eyes.
"...But there's only eight, right? Two of them are dead?" I asked, mostly to reassure myself that it wasn't as bad as it actually was.
Meliodas cocked his head to the side for a moment. "Maybe," he said.

"Well that doesn't help." I grumbled while sitting up more.

Meliodas shrugged, "Didn't say it was going to."

I shot a glare at the smug boy. He chuckled nervously, then bolted down the hallway. I laughed at his antics.
