Picos pov
Before I could do anything the gun was snatched out of my hand by a tearful Keith. I looked up to see everyone else's shocked faces.
"what the hell were you trying to do" Keith yelled.
"give me back my gun"
"like hell I'm gonna-"
"goddammit Keith let me kill myself before I hurt everyone!"
Keith looked at me in disbelief "what do you mean hurt everyone?"
I sighed "I was raised as a hitman. Cherry's dad hired me to kill you Keith" they looked at me in disbelief.
"he did what!?" cherry's mom gasped.
"so we're not cousins?" cherry said.
"that's it I'm calling the police on that man!" Keith mom said storming out.
"you see that's why you have to let me kill myself! If you don't I'm gonna ruin everything-" I was cut off by Keith hugging me.
"easy buddy it's ok. You don't have to go that far" Keith said gently.
"why are you being so nice to me? I tried to kill you!"
"you tried to kill yourself just to avoid hurting me. If that's not a true friend then I don't know what is" he said firmly.
I broke down and sobbed on his shoulder. Cherry came over and hugged me too. It's been so long since I've felt such kindness. I don't deserve this.
The police stopped by our house and asked me some questions. They said I could stay on house arrest and they would figure out my punishment in trail in a month's time. Cherry's dad however was being arrested. He yelled swears at me and they drove off.
Keith's mom placed a coffee mug in front of me "here love drink up. You'll need it after such a long day"
"why are you being so nice to me? I tried to kill your only son" I said feeling confused.
"your just a child darling it's not really your fault" she said petting my head "it's those awful men that minipulated you. What they did to you was evil"
I burst into tears again. She was just so nice and understanding. I didn't deserve their kindness.
She pulled me into a hug "shhh honey it's alright. We'll sort all this out on the trail day"
I sighed and leaned agenst her. I didn't deserve this kindness but it sure did feel nice.
