I quietly climb in my window and my bedroom light turns on. "Where have you been young lady!?" I jump at the tone of my mother's voice. "Umh I... I was out." That's the best you can come up with?! Seriously? "Well you better start explaining or you are in some deep shit." I look at the ground how the hell am I getting out of this?! "I went to see Beckett. Her parents are fighting and she's really upset." My moms face shifts slightly. "Beckett lives all the way across town. How in the hell did you get there?" She puts her hands on her hips. "We met at the park." My mom seem pleased with my answer,but before she could respond Aria bounds into the room. "That's a lie. Some boy was in here and she left with him." I swear I saw steam come out of my moms ears. "SAWYER ANN LEE! You are not to be spending time with boys after dark and you know that!" I glare at Aria who sticks her tongue out at me and walks out. "I know mom." Is all I say before she takes my phone shutting it off. "No phone. No computer. You are grounded until I say when." And with that she storms from my room. Well shit.

Being grounded by my parents isn't like being grounded by any one else's. My mom literally took all my power cords and demanded I spend all of my weekend in our library. Which really wasn't bad. I miss the smell of old books and quiet afternoons reading. The issue was I was reading the encyclopedias A-Z. Then I was supposed to tell my parents my new favorite words at supper. I remember when I first found the word Wanderlust. It bewitched me with the very spelling. It will forever be my favorite word.

In late Sunday afternoon my mom comes into my room and takes a seat at my desk as I work on my art project. "Dear, your father and I are going on another business trip tomorrow and won't be back for two weeks." I look up at my mother. "Okay. Is Aria going with you?" She gives me a small smile. "Actually no. That's what I've came to talk to you about. Aria has school now and we need you to make sure she gets to her classes and that she's well taken care of while we're gone." I open my mouth to protest when she says "If you do this for us we will consider letting you date." I shut my mouth fast. I've always dated without my mom knowing. Going to "Beckett's" house all the time and the library. "Okay. I'll do it." My mothers smile broadens and she kisses the top of my head before she leaves. "That's my girl." She hands me my phone before leaving.

I have 20 missed texts. 13 from Louis, 5 from Beckett, 1 from Liam and 1 from Benton. You would've thought I died.
