Chapter 1 - Am I dead?

Hazel's POV

Hi I'm Hazel I just got out of highschool and I'm now a freshman in college. My family isn't that well off but we can manage I have a little brother but, we're not blood related he was my mom's child on my step dads side.

Our family is in a good relationship my step dad is nice to us. My dad left us for some woman he met abroad.

After that my mom got depressed but my step dad entered her life and make her feel loved again. At first I don't really like my step dad, maybe he's just going to marry my mom and then left us again.

He wasn't like that he showered us with love. He might not look like it but he is sincere and caring towards us.

Its been 3 months now since we all lived together and its been a month since I started going to college as a freshman.

I'm living in the dorms now, I visit my parents every weekend. Now I'm going back to the dorms from our house.

Since our house isn't that far away I always make sure to visit them every weekend.

I was going back to the dorms when I feel suddenly drowsy and saw a light coming unto me, I realized it was a car driving straight to me like it was planning to hit me. I lost consciousness after, I can't see anything but I feel like I'm floating.
"Is this how death feels like"
"Am I dead?"
I keep asking myself if I am dead, I hear a faint sound it was echoey.

I can't see anything but I keep hearing shouts and yelling that doesn't sound very pleasant to hear. I keep hearing a crowd yelling,
"Kill her"
"Kill that witch"
"She doesn't deserve to live"

And a silent pause after that. I opened my eyes and thought,
"I'm still alive"
"I didn't die"
I looked in the mirror and saw a really pretty face, it feels almost like I'm looking at an angel, an emotionless one.

But then I just noticed the people around me and looking at me. They looked really worried about me.

I asked them if I know who they are and a girl dressed like a made came up to me and said
" I'm your maid my Lady, my name is Ava"
"My lady?"
"Who are you calling my lady" I asked

My ear started ringing, my head started hurting and I can't breath properly. I keep remembering past events of this person they called My Lady. I fainted after that.

After I fainted I saw the past life of this Lady named Isolde, she also witnessed how she died.

I thought to myself "Am I inside a book" the book was the one I'm currently reading in the real world that was called "Life of the Ice cold Prince" the book wasn't finish it was still ongoing but what I do know is that Lady Isolde is going to get killed by the worsest death as possible

"I still can't believe it why am I a villain, can't I just be the female lead"
" I don't want to die young"
I said to myself.

I suddenly woke up and saw Ava right beside me looked very worried. I told her to stop crying its not like I'm going to die.

"But my Lady you almost did, please stop worrying us like that" *sniffle* *sniffle* she said
"I apologize for worrying all of you" *smiles*
"My lady, are you still sick?"
"Call the doctor!" She shouted

Few moments after a doctor arrived. The doctor looks pretty young I expected the doctor to be old.

The doctor started checking my wrist and check my condition,
"She's okay, no need to worry" the doctor said
"But make sure she gets enough rest, make sure not to strain the Lady" -he added
