Jaehyun's POV

"Hey, Jae!" I turned around and saw one of my best friends, Johnny, running up to me. I said "Hey, Johnny." He slapped my back and asked "Where are you going after this? Should we grab some lunch before practice?" I nodded and said "I'll catch you at the cafeteria in a bit." Johnny nodded, before running off with a quick "See ya later!"

I chuckled, turning to my locker and unlocking it. To be very honest, the lockers were one of the factors that had me drawn to this school. It isn't everyday you see lockers in a university. I was about to place my textbook on top of the others, when I saw an ivory white envelope that had 'dear j.'  embossed in cursive.

I grabbed it and quickly placed it into my bag, before grabbing my gym bag and headed to the cafeteria. I entered the cafeteria and saw Johnny and Mark sitting at one of the tables. They waved and I went over to join them. I said "Hey, Mark, hey Johnny." while sitting down. Mark said "Hyung, are you not gonna grab food? Coach said that today's practice was going to be intense to prepare for our upcoming game."

I said "I'm thinking about what to eat..." Both Johnny and Mark laughed, and Mark said "What a mood." I got up and headed to the ordering tablet before ordering a beef bibimbap and an Iced Americano. I went to collect my food when my buzzer vibrated in my hand, and went back to the table. I ate in silence, and after that we headed to practice.

3 hours of practice, a filling dinner and a hot shower later, I finally sat down at my study table. Sinking into my comfortable computer chair, I let out a relaxed sigh. Closing my eyes, I suddenly saw the image of the letter and jumped. The letter. I unzipped my school bag, pulling out everything until I found the ivory white envelope. Pulling it out, I ran my hand over the embossed "dear j." on the front. Curiously but carefully, I opened the envelope and started reading the letter.

dear j.

I know this is very creepy, but if you happen to be reading this, at least you haven't thrown my letter away!

I just wanted to tell you that you are an absolutely admirable guy, and that I am absolutely jealous at how you manage to juggle your love for basketball and your love for your degree in business.

I just want to wish you all the best for the new school year, and good luck for the upcoming basketball season! please remember to take care of yourself while you're practicing too!

I chuckled at the adorable letter and said to no one in particular "It is creepy, but how adorable. Thank you." I thumbed the embossed "dear j." while running my hand over the written 'Y' on the letter.
