Y's POV

I can't believe I got 100 envelopes embossed with "dear j.". I swear it was supposed to be a one time thing! But oh wells, since I already have 100 pieces of the damn envelopes, I should commit myself to not wasting them.

I started writing the letter that I was going to put in Jaehyun Sunbae's locker. Nope, too cringey. Nope, too creepy. No, what the hell am I writing?! "Woah woah woah! What's going on in here?" I turned and saw my roommate standing at the entrance to our room. She exclaimed "What is going on in here? There are balls of crumpled paper everywhere!" I rolled my eyes and said "Don't exaggerate, I literally only threw 5." She said "5?! Why not you turn around and look around you?"

I let out an exasperated sigh and turned, my eyes widening at the sight of over 10 crumpled balls of paper lying around the room. She asked with a raised eyebrow "Exaggerating, you say? 5, you say?" I sighed and said "I'm sorry." She sat next to me and said "What are you doing? Ooh! Nice envelopes!" She took one and ran her fingers over the embossed "dear j.". She said "Dear J? Oh my god, is this for Jaehyun Sunbae?"

I nodded and said "Now help me. I don't want to seem creepy in my first letter, I don't want to scare him off." She said "Just be generic in your first letter, that way, it can be from anyone. But throw in some human elements in there. Give him a taste of your humour!" I started to write, and while I was doing so, she asked "Why are you giving him letters anyway? Love letters are so yesterday."

I shook my head and said "You won't understand. He appreciates old school. Back when we were in high school, girls often saved up money to buy him vinyl discs, because he liked old school. He has a record player that he loved." She asked carefully "You know Jaehyun Sunbae...? From high school? It seems like you guys were close, you know a lot about him."

I said "We were on the same student council, I was a freshman while he was about to graduate. I was put on the prom planning committee which he was in-charge of as the President of the student council. We spent a lot of time together." She sat silently for a moment before saying "Then why are you writing letters to him? You know him, can't you just confess straight up?"

I shook my head and said "I haven't been in contact with Jaehyun Sunbae since he graduated. It's been 3 years, I doubt he actually remembers me. And also, what if he rejects me straight up? I won't be able to show my face in school anymore."

She shook her head and said "So. How are you going to know if he has a good reaction to your letters or not? You're not in the Business Faculty. You're pretty far away, I have to say." I looked at her with my best puppy eyes and asked "I was going to ask you for a favour. Can you keep a lookout for me?" She sighed and said "Fine." I hugged her tightly and exclaimed "You're the best!"

She said "Okay, that's enough. Finish writing your letter." I giggled and continued the write the letter happily. She shook her head and said "God gave you a pretty face, an amazing brain, great athletic ability, but took away your balls, huh. You're such a monster on court but when it comes to love, you become a little lost bird looking for mama. How hopeless."

I said "But you love me anyways." She ruffled my hair and said "I would say I tolerate you, but sure. Finish up your letter while I clean up your mess. I want to sleep soon." I nodded and said "Thank you~"

Carefully folding the letter, I placed it into the envelope and sealed it up. Jaehyun Sunbae, I hope you'll appreciate this.
