On the way...

The turning point...

Two days after my meeting with Ishwa, I got a call.
Who could ever believe that call!

"Hello!"
"Yes! May I know who this is?", I enquired.
"Ya! Ishwa here."
"Oh! Hello. What makes you to dial my number?"
"That's because I really thought you deserve something more. I think you should get a chance. You are too hardworking to deny."
"Are you trying to get me into something?"
"I suppose! I really wanted to catch up with you."
"Seriously? An appointment again? I amn't interested..."
"No. No. I meant to meet you at the Highness gallery."
"Okay, fine! But business out of office?"
"So do you want to have an appointment?"
"Certainly no."
"Will meet you there by 7."
"See you."

I looked at the clock as it ticked to 6. I ran and began dressing up, right then I drove away to HG. I reached there seven minutes earlier, still I walked in, to find a table. I have never come to this place before, it's costly and luxurious to deal with, there were lot of businessman and famous celebrities inside. As I walked in, somebody from behind called out in a soft voice, "Ishi?!"
I stopped and slowly turned to find Ishwa, he was already there, waiting for me.
I pulled a chair and sat.

He began, "Hey, so... We will get in straight to our business. You came over to me asking for an opportunity, and I thought you could arrange our event, but for that you will need... first and foremost of all, you must need the Quality proved certificate from any other big personality that will ensure us that your organised event will be perfect for us. But when I came across your files, I couldn't find it. I decided to give the project to Tara of WD, she is my mom's friend's daughter. She just moved into here and soon joined in WD, so she too called asking me for a chance. That's when I met my mom's best friend in the park; your mother, she too suggested you. So I went on rethinking for you..."

I stopped him, "I am so happy that Mr. Ishwa apart from his office has met me to give me a chance. If you told me that I should earn the Quality proving certificate, I would have found a solution, but beyond all this, you are giving me this opportunity on recommendation, firstly of your mother's best friend, secondly your mother, which mean you didn't even think of me, you really thought of giving it to Tara. I obviously tell you that I am sorry to waste your time, sir. I think you should give this opportunity to whom you wish, but not on recommendation, so I think you should go for Tara, that's for WD. Nothing matters! Thank you sir. Mm... You have come out of your office to meet me just after you spend time with me on an interview and a small encounter at the park, then I wish I could have had a tea or coffee with you being a friend this time, but that's too out of our limit, sir. Hope to meet you somewhere, sometime else, again it was nice meeting you, sir."

Ishwa caught my hand, as I began to take the exit. I was stopped, so I turned to him.
He said, "Do sit, it's starred hotel and you can't go like you have had an issue in here. Just sit, and calm. We can talk and then you can leave. See! Many of them are looking at us, do sit."

I had no other choice, so I sat back again.

He continued, "See if you want a chance to grow bigger in business, take this as an opportunity. All you want to submit to me is the quality proving certificate, and I have a way for that. Okay! I understand you aren't interested because I first thought of giving this project to WD, that's your rival business team and because I am giving this chance to you on recommendation. Never mind! Think again and tell me by tomorrow. See you!"

I was still staring into his eyes for he told everything so clearly, "So you are leaving?"

"No", he replied, "I am having a meeting with Jaganath Taj sir, for a business deal, that's after fifteen minutes. But why, do you want me to sit with you?"

I threw back an angry face, and then turned meh. "So what's the deal?"

He asked, "Do you want to be a part?"

I replied, "Certainly no."

He smiled, "Just signing in a new contract for a adventure theme park construction with Taj group, so that we could reveal the project in our silver jubilee celebrations. If you have thought about your side of business, please do tell miss... Mm... Ishi?"

I replied, "Ishika Rai Dhwaj," I smiled.
He shook his hand with me, "Great!"

I asked, "Can I ask you one thing? Who is Tara Neetu Kaur to you?"

"Oh she!", He went on as I nodded, "She is my mom's old neighbour's daughter. After her studies, she joined WD right into the top post. How cool is that, you know!"

I nodded, "Ya! Right! That's too cool. She's in my old post, that means we both have almost the same ideas, but you decided to give her the project without looking to WD's quality proving certificate. That's too mean!... I am too sorry to say that, but I did mean it."

He smiled, "I loved that character. I decided to give her because WD is already a famous group in this city, so I don't need the quality proving certificate but your team hadn't done big projects yet, that's why...", He wickedly smiled "So are you really concerned about me and Tara or Iksa and WD?"

I stopped for thinking, time ran by then. Ishwa stood up to catch for the meeting.

"So I think you really should go home, it's too dark by now. My meeting will be over within five minutes and then I will leave, so you better go home now. By tomorrow morning you can tell me if you are interested."

I replied, "I am ready. What should Iksa do to get the quality proving certificate for you?"

He smiled, "We will discuss later or tomorrow, Jaganath sir is here."

He walked away to the lounge and they were discussing the deal seriously, in gaps of time he was looking at my table to know whether I left.

Finally I got up to leave, but now he wasn't looking at me so that I could gesture I was leaving. After waiting for few more minutes I left. That's when he saw me leave. I walked to my car, he came behind me and called out, "Meeting just got over. Will meet tomorrow, right?"

I nodded, "I waited to tell you that I was leaving but you didn't look at me so I left as it's already too late. Meet you tomorrow for the big deal!"

He smiled, "Drive safely, it's too late in the night."

I nodded and got in the car and left to home.

I reached home soon, and after dinner I went to Iksa for a sudden called meeting. I informed my team members about the project and the whole thingy.

And seriously, this was the turning point of Iksa; that Iksa got into its dream project.
