Here's the next chapter! Enjoy my darlings! Btw picture of Sidney to the right ----------------------->

As I walk in the classroom with Madelyn trailing behind me I could feel all eyes on me and then turn to the girl behind me. The teacher, Mr. Reynolds, walks up to the front of the class and pretty much lets the cat out of the bag. “Everybody, Alex here decided to be generous enough to sign up for the Partner Project and decided to partner up with Madelyn Atkins!” He then pointed his hand towards Madelyn.

I kept my head down but slowly looked up to see half the class with jaws on the floor and a fuming Sidney. “Madelyn, why don’t you introduce yourself.” Mr. Reynolds led her to the front of the class room while I took my seat next to Sidney.

“I can explain.” I whispered to her. She replied with a glare

Madelyn stood in front of the whole class. With her head down, she spoke slowly. “Hi. I am Madelyn. I am sixteen years old. I have a sister. She is Fiona. She is 23 years old. I live with her.” After she finished her introduction, she slowly turned to Mr. Reynolds.

“Okay Madelyn, you can sit in the empty seat next to Alex.” She slowly walked around the desks and made her way towards the empty seat on my left. Sidney was glaring at her the whole time and the seating situation wasn’t really helping.

Madelyn set her bag down and took out a spiral notebook and a pencil case. She then aligned them on the desk and looked up at the teacher.

“Okay guys!” Mr. Reynolds started. “Take out a piece of paper.” Mr. Reynolds started to talk about the French Revolution and all the other countries it affected. I was listening while taking notes but I couldn’t help but feel distracted. I looked to my left and saw Madelyn taking notes slowly. Her handwriting was scratchy and messy for a girl but it was readable. She was intently listening to what Mr. Reynolds was saying.

“Madelyn, am I going too fast for you? Because I can slow down a little.” Mr. Reynolds stopped his lecture and asked her.

She looked up with wide eyes as she observed the whole class looking at her. I could hear some snickers going around the classroom. She nodded her head and slowly whispered. “Just a little.” Some kids started laughing at the sound of her speech.

“Hey! Shut it!” Mr. Reynolds gave a pointed look at the group of guys at the back who were snickering. “And I’ll go slower for you. You can even take the notes from Alex since he’s going to stick around you for a while.”

Shit. Why did someone always have to drag me into stupid things? Can’t she find someone else? Now I have to try extra hard to withhold my reputation and explain the whole situation to a very pissed off Sydney.

After the never ending class, the bell finally rang. I was about to spring off my desk and run out the room but I remembered Madelyn. I halted myself and turned around to see her puting her stuff in her bag and slinging it over her shoulders. She walked over to me and stopped a foot away.

“We have Calculus next.” I nodded my head towards the door and she followed me out. As we were walking down the hallways, I noticed we were getting weird stares. People were whispering and pointing at us. It pissed me off.

“Look at what we have here.” Dave Collins stood in our way. Number one douche bag. I hate his guts. Even though I hate him, I have to deal with Dave since he’s on the football team with me.

“What do you want Collins? I have to get to class.” I tried to side step him but he stood in my way.

“I’m just here to take a look at the new retard.” He smirked at me and then moved to stand in front of Madelyn. “Damn. For a retarded chick like you, you’re pretty hot.” He licked his lips and then turned to face me. “You’re one lucky dude if you have this fag behind you for the rest of the year. You could get her to give you a free show if Sidney bores you. But then again, a three way would be more entertaining too.” He sent Madelyn a smirk.

“Dude, shit the f*** up and leave me alone. No one wants to deal with your shit.” I pushed him out of the way and walked to the calculus room. The bell rang but the teacher wouldn’t care. Plus I have to walk slowly because of Madelyn. I hear tiny footsteps from behind me. I turn around and see Madelyn walking faster in an attempt to catch up to me. I guess I started to walk fast without knowing. I stopped and waited for her to catch up. I then opened the door and we both entered the room.

“Mr. Rose, you’re late.” Mr. Line didn’t even have to look up from his computer to know I entered the room.

“I know. But I had to slow down since Madelyn can’t walk fast.” That caught his attention and got his head to leave the computer screen. Mr. Line was an old man with barely any hair and glasses. He pushed his glasses up onto his nose and looked at Madelyn.

“Oh, right! Madelyn! Class, we have a new student. Please welcome Madelyn. Dan why don’t you move to the empty seat next to the window so Madelyn can sit next to Alex.”

Dan sighed and moved to the window seat next to the group of nerds.

“Well Madelyn, I’m Mr. Line, you’re calculus teacher. If you ever need me to slow down or if you need any help just ask me and I’ll help you.

Madelyn looked at the old teacher and slowly nodded.

He walked up to the smart board and told everyone to take out their calculators. Everyone took their out except for one person. Madelyn. She just looked at the smart board with wide eyes.

“Madelyn,” Mr. Line spoke softly as he approached her desk. “Don’t you have a calculator?”

She shook her head no.

“Well, I gave all my extra ones to the other math teachers so you have to share with Alex.” Ah crap. He then turned to me with pointed eyes. “You will let her use your calculator Mr. Rose, right?”

I rolled my eyes. “Yes sir.” I had no option but to agree. I didn’t want to end up with her for a longer period of time just because I didn’t share my stupid calculator.

Stupid calculator. Stupid retard. Stupid Partners Program. Stupid principle. Stupid parents. Stupid everything.
