They sat in the carriage, all silence but the rocks their ride went over. It was bumpy, but at last it was better than sitting at home. Imagining all the scenarios with their old friend. Oh, how George missed him. He was willing to do anything, he still is. Maybe that makes him selfish.
A cough. "George?" He just hums in response, he doesn't have the energy to reply. Maybe he might in a day, he doesn't know. "Do you-" His companion stops mid way. "Do you think Polaris will be better than here?" There's silence between them and King Schlatt had decided to follow them in another carriage. He likes it.
A beat. Maybe one too many, he can sense the worry of his friend. "I think everywhere is better than here." He thinks of what to say. What can really be said for a little teenager who has lost everything with meaning to him? "Maybe you'll make a friend. I hear King Phil has a son your age." George looked out the window.
Tubbo followed his eyes, looking at the green forest and almost magical-like flowers around them. "Yeah, his son.. I hope so." George really hopes Tubbo finds happiness, he hopes that Tubbo can escape. But he's selfish in hopes that he doesn't. Who will George have then?
"What's the ball supposed to be for?" The younger asks.
George, his eyes still on the road ahead. "It's for the future heir to find a spouse." He smiles. It's been awhile since he's done that. "It seems like he will rule alone."
"Can he even do that? Rule alone."
"Generally, it's not forbidden, but the village finds more confidence in rulers who have a spouse next to them." He sighs, it's stupid, he thinks. He should be let to rule alone. "If Phil trusts him to do so then he must be capable." He sighs and looks at Tubbo. The younger one looks so exhausted, so fascinated by the trees. He's almost forgotten that Tubbo grew up in the castle, fetching everyone their robes, cleaning up after the royals. He almost forgot. "We're there in 3 hours. Get some rest."
Tubbo nods, his eyes closed but his ears listening to the calm chirp of birds. He falls asleep, George not so long after him in a calm slumber.

Dear, Apollo
Is it foolish of me to think this letter finds you? Maybe it is silly, but my sister insisted. 'You should always have hope.' her words ring through my head all the time. I truly hope you'd meet her, she is the wisest woman I know. I genuinely owe my life to her. Maybe I'd get to meet your brothers too, they seem fun.
I met a peculiar young boy earlier today: he had bright blue eyes and blonde shining hair. He was rather.. odd, I'd say. I helped him hide from some guards and we just laughed. He would be just a bit younger than my younger brother was. I mentioned you, something I do too often, but he seemed curious. He said he knew you, which I found unlikely, but nonetheless decided to believe him.
I asked him to deliver a letter and if this is truly you who I'm writing to then, I hope you'll write back.
I used to play a game with my friend, 'manhunt' we called it. A game where I was supposed to go to a certain point and he was supposed to catch me before I made it. I won, every time I won. Maybe I got used to running then. One day I was given a choice: running or staying and fighting back. I opted for the latter. It's just some insight into my life, I really hope you want to answer me back.
I await your response.
Sincerely,

Dear, Erebus
Thank you for the letter. I was humming your melody today, the one you taught me, 'Pierre' was it? My brother hated it, but that's just him. Deep down I know he loves me. He just shows it in other ways than most. I'd love to meet your sister.
I love actions of love. My family is not one for deep affections, but I don't find myself hating that as much as I thought I would've. We're all different, everyone expressing themselves differently. It's something to be longed for.
I spoke with my father about the myth you told me, about the late king and the stars. He deemed it to be true, I was surprised he even knew of it. He said if one was to look at the stars on the king's birthday, November 2nd was it? They'd be able to see one star shining brighter than the rest. Rumored to be the king.
When I was a young kid my mother used to whisper sweet nothings into my ear as I fell asleep, the day she died there was a big storm. I swear I could hear her screams echo with the lighting strikes or her sobs overpower the rainwater. Maybe that's why I can't fall asleep with big storms or when the scary thunderstorms are blooming.
Sincerely,
Apollo

Dear, Apollo
I know it has been a few days since I received your letter. I'm sorry. I've even spotted the blonde trying to retrieve it. It's not a good time for me, but I doubt that's really a valid reason to not write back. But to answer your points.
Me and my sister do say we love each other. It's rare, but it happens. We say it to calm each other down, to make sure that we both know it. We find no other reason to say it. We know it already. She said it to me yesterday though, I am grateful.
You & I probably grew up differently, while you got to sleep in a comfy bed and eat well every day along with your family, then I got lucky if I even got to sleep 4 hours in a day. And I'm not even saying this for pity, god no I hate that.
I'm just saying this to make you realize I'm not the "god" you think of me as, I'm not the man that will solve all your problems if you meet me, I'm probably the guy who will run away like I'm used to doing.
I found out what melody you were humming that night, I heard it last afternoon at town square. Weirdest thing, Prince Wilbur was singing it. Now I've never been interested in the royal families of any kingdoms, I don't make myself familiar with the names of princes or princesses. But Prince Wilbur's name is well-spoken between traders and villagers, it's hard not to know of him. It's interesting, I'd never heard the melody before. I like it.
The blond boy called me "Big Man" what is up with that?
Love,
Erebus——————
