Light shone before the Dragon Mage's eyes, and before she knew it, the king and queen stood there as they took their first of breath of life. Her parents groaned as they wobbled in place. Gawayne ran to his father as he fell back, and the Dragon Mage to her mother. She held the queen in her arms, staring down at her as she smiled.
"Mom" she muttered.
Queen Goodfey smiled as she caressed her daughter's cheek. "Arkayna. You did it," she whispered. "I love you."
Arkayna chuckled. "I love you too," she whispered. "And there's someone you need to meet." She looked at Mysticon Ranger as she walked up to them. "This is Zarya."
Mysticon Ranger smiled wholeheartedly. "Hey... Mom" she whispered as she waved.
Queen Goodfey widened her eyes in confusion. "Mom?" she questioned as she looked at Arkayna.
"It's a long story" Arkayna muttered as she chuckled.
Queen Goodfey sighed as she groaned. She shivered in her daughter's arms. "Umm, okay. Why don't you girls explain it to me over coffee? Cause..." she started as she looked at her hands. She touched her face, wincing at the numbing touch. "I'm so c-c-cold."
Arkayna looked at her Solon for an explanation. Malvaron shrugged as he frowned.
"I'm assuming it's a side effect to the curse" he muttered as he walked up to the royal family.
"Guess you'll both need a hot bath then" Arkayna whispered as she looked at her stepfather. He as well, shivered in his son's arms. Gawayne held him firmly as he caressed his jawline.
"It's okay, Dad," he whispered. "We have to go. Now."
Arkayna nodded as she looked at Nova Terron. The Star Master instructed his Astromancers to start the Star Cruiser.
"To Rudix Hollow immediately," he said. He turned to the royal family. He sighed. "I guess I have some explaining to do."
The queen stared at the Star Master as he explained all that she missed for... pretty much fifteen years apparently. Arkayna nudged her side as she flinched. She looked up at her daughter as she muttered something under her breath.
"Are you okay?" the Dragon Mage asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay" the queen whispered.
Nova Terron blinked as he looked at the queen. "Wait, so... you're not going to crucify me?"
The queen glanced between her daughter and the Star Master. "Why would I do that? There won't be much to gain if I beat your ass."
Nova Terron looked at Arkayna as she shrugged.
"She's just tired" the Dragon Mage whispered.
"And hungry. And miserable" the queen muttered.
"You'll be alright. Mrs Goldenbraid made dumplings" Arkayna whispered.
"That sounds delicious. Can't wait" Queen Goodfey whispered.
Arkayna looked up when she heard her name being called. A certain Astromancer walked up to her nervously as her hands were buried in her robe.
"We're almost there. I suggest you get yourselves ready for when we dock" Proxima said.
Arkayna nodded. "Okay," she whispered as she smiled. She frowned when she watched the girl walk away, and stopped her.
"Proxima. Don't you want to say hi?" she asked.
Proxima bit her lip. "Not really" she said truthfully.
