Hey Guys, I'm back(It's still me Ciara) So that book that I was telling you guys about it was such an adventure and it was such an inspiring story. That I have been inspired by many other black woman such as Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce and Marsai Martin! These women are such inspiration to Me!!!
Enough about inspirational woman but anyways, I started writing in my journals not only to remember my cousins birthdays but to also write my bad and really important and confidential moments and most of the time it's really hard for me to focus on my journals because its really easy for me to get distracted with other important things that I do such as....
Finishing Up My GCSE's and Practising My Dance for an Important Audition and Focusing on my applications for college which is very stressful(Because I've been spending 24/7 looking for a college that would actually fit me in).
My Best Friend is the Only Person that knows about all my secrets and other private info but my auntie is the only one who knows about my diary so she wanted to take over and write a little bit so here is her little info she would like to explain.
Auntie's Story: Before university, during our years there and in the time since, the books that we have been exposed to have shaped our ideas, our writing – and ultimately how we see the world. Being able to see our realities reflected in the books we read has made us who we are. Some of these books were difficult to read and forced us to confront difficult truths about our place in the world. But we also found joy, and these books gave us permission to dream.
Reading stories about lives like ours gave us the confidence to tell our own. That's exactly what we aim to do in which ends with a list of our favourite reads to inspire black girls everywhere to look beyond a canon that may not include them. Here are some of them.(Auntie Explains: Sorry there was some problems trying to sort something out so I had to explain my next story!!POV(Auntie's Next Story)Though I went to school in Nigeria for more than 5 Years, Half of a Yellow Sun was my first real encounter with the devastating Biafra civil war of the late 1960s that remains a sore memory for many Nigerians!! Against this historical backdrop, the novel explores the lives of a professor, his girlfriend, their houseboy and the various other people they encounter. Adichie offers an account of one of Nigeria's most deadly and divisive periods with writing that is far more accessible and delicate than any history book!
Ok Back To Me(It's Me Ciara) Wow My Auntie really has appreciation for Nigeria(Even though my parents are from South Africa(And I was also lucky to be born in South Africa and Only speak South African Language)!! I Can speak a lot of English Though !!
