Like, why?

"And I was like, Mother no, it's past 10 I don't need dinner." I heard Sapnap say, me
only just realising I had zoned out the whole time he was talking.

He soon realised too, "Did you hear anything I just said?" I glanced back over at George then back at my best friend, him noticing my glance and looking over there too.

"So that's why he rejected to sit with me, okay." He said, taking a sip of his drink.

"He rejected you too?" I asked, him shocked at the fact I asked too.

"Yeah, it was just after first period though so he might've already had someone to sit with." He stated, head resting on his palm as he stared intently at the other table.

"After first period? I don't think so, not even I make friends that quickly." I said, shocked even at the thought of someone making a friend so quickly.

"He seems like a very nice person, also really fun to hang out with, and I only spoke to him for like, 3 minutes." He shovelled more food into his mouth, clapping his hands to get the crumbs off.

"You don't need to clap every time you know." It was kind of annoying, but I knew there was no way he was going to stop doing it.

"It annoys you, so I do." He smirked my way, I scoffed not knowing how to respond to that, lolling my head to the right.

I caught the scene perfectly:

George and Bad were talking, they laughed then someone came up behind the Brit, tapping his shoulder. He turned around to see the person, a look of confusion on his face.

He probably didn't know who it was.

He had a smirk on his face, it looked kind of evil though that might be a little over the top. He said something, I couldn't quite catch what it was. George said something as he lightly shook his head. The dude looked pissed and he walked off. When he was gone, Bad leaned over and said something, making the two break into a fit of laughter.

"He is cute not gonna lie, lot's of people will be asking him to hang out with them, if i'm being totally honest." He'd probably saw me looking over at him, and he was right, George was actually quite cute. Not in that way, but he could basically get anyone he wanted with his personality and looks, he was straight up perfect.

Shit i'm staring.

I turn back around to Nick,

"Is he in any of your classes?" I asked, it was only lunch, us having had 2 classes, I didn't actually expect him to, but we needed something to talk about.

"Not yet, think he's in our coding class on though." He said, apparently hearing it from a student or something. We had coding 3 times a week; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

"He's in my English, and I think my teacher talked about him joining my math class too." Now that I remembered, sir had talked to us last Thursday about the new kid and how they were going to join our class, and also to be respectful and help him whenever he needs it.

Obviously I didn't expect him to need help, like George had said in class, he was a whole year ahead of us all, so it wouldn't make sense for him to not know it.

"What homeroom is he in?" Nick asked, somehow expecting me to know. Obviously I did, but that's not the point, I know everyone so things are easy for me to find out.

"He's in Bad's, class 9c i think." I had no clue where this conversation was going, we were talking about the new kid and had been for a while.

Though it was an interesting topic, we knew hardly anything about him, though it didn't seem like the type of person to purposely hide anything. I bet if we asked he'd tell us stuff, so why are we talking about things we don't even know?
