~ Chapter 5 ~

It's around 4:12 in the morning and I haven't been able to sleep all night. No not because of the Kai situation, I just feel guilty for feeding on the poor girl at the party. It wasn't like I seriously injured her or even killed her but I still felt it.

I sat up kicking my legs over off of my bed and stood up slipping my feet into my slippers. I tied my hair into a quick ponytail and started walking down the stairs. I had reached the bottom when I heard the tap running in the kitchen, so I went to see who it was. Freezing in my place when I saw Kai turn around smiling at me.

"And what are you doing here?" I said in a harsh tone.

"Ouch and good morning to you too, why you up so early?" He said proceeding to pour himself a glass of water.

"I couldn't sleep. And don't ignore my question." I replied walking over to the fridge grabbing a blood bag and placing it onto the side.

"I thought I'd check up on you."

I scoffed, "Why would you need to check up on me, I'm an independent woman let me be" Still making my self a coffee adding a few drops of blood into it.

"Am I not allowed?" He had a massive grin on his face.

"Well no not really, especially since you practically just broke into my house. And wipe that grin off your face" I said rolling my eyes.

I walked away going upstairs and leaving him on his own in the kitchen. When I arrived at my room I placed my coffee mug onto my bedside table and plugged my phone into my speaker blasting music. Was it really 4:43 and I was listening to loud music whilst my brothers were probably still sleeping? mhm duh.

I had taken a quick shower, music still blasting into my head as I sang along to every lyric. It was now around the time school would start to open so I quickly got ready slipping on my shoes and grabbing my bag pulling it onto my shoulder. I ran downstairs ignoring the fact that Kai was still In the house. I ran out of the front door, he was shouting my name but I just slammed the door jumping into my car and driving to school.

As I was about to open the car door to get put, I hear another heartbeat in it with me. I turned around jumping at the sight of him sitting in the back seats.

"Jesus christ Kai! You can't stay away from me, can you? Just stop following me around and go home." I got out of the car and started making my way towards the front door of the school.

"Yeah but that's the thing." He chucked, "I don't have a home currently"

"Awh really?" I stopped for a second not turning around.

"Yep" He muttered expecting me to say something nice back.

"What a shame." I smiled sarcastically and continued.

I had finally gotten to my lesson but turns out I was ten minutes late but still I sneaked into the classroom and sat in my assigned seat resting my chin in my hands. Lifting my head up to the sight of the door opening, there was Kai again. Oh my god is he ever going to give up. The sound of a chair scraping beside me made me cringe.

"Never going to give up are you?"

"Nope, I like you you know.

"Too bad, I don't like you."

"I thought we were friends?" He asked fake pouting.

"Clearly not anymore."

Minutes had passed and more attempts of him trying to talk to me passed. Finally, the bell had rung signalling that it was the end of the day. Why was I at school again? I can literally stay at home for however long I want and instead, I choose to go to school for the millionth time.

I was at my locker placing books from my bag until I saw him again strolling towards me. I started to panic. I was so fed up with him already, then an idea came to my head. I turned to my right seeing Isaac leaning against his locker.

"Isaac flirt with me" I muttered.

"What?" He replied.

"I said make it look like you're flirting with me!" I snapped at him quickly changing the words up.

"Sure but you owe me an explanation." He smirked pinning me against the set of lockers.

My cheeks turned a bright pink colour as his warm breath tickled my neck. He whispered something in my ear but I wasn't able to make it out, I was too busy trying to catch my breath.

"Is he gone?" I asked rather quickly. I look around not seeing him insight.

"Is who gone?"

"It doesn't matter, thanks um I have to get going now" I took a step but couldn't move anywhere, he still had me pinned to the lockers.

"Can you um let me passed please" I stuttered, trying not to make eye contact.

He didn't reply instead he lifted my head up with his finger causing me to look into his blue dreamy eyes.
