Hi I'm Derek I'm currently a student at hogworts school of witchcraft and wizardry I'm in my 7th year here which means I'm about to graduate so I figured it was time to tell my story. To do this I figured I'd have to go back all they way to before I even came here before I knew I was a wizard before I was Derek all the way back to when I was Ali

It's August 23 and it's mine and my twin brothers 11th birthday. My brother Terry ran into my room to wake me up around 8 in the morning we ran down stairs to the kitchen and we saw our dad sitting at the table and our step mom making food.

"Oh hello kids your sister Abby is upstairs she'll be down to wish you a nice birthday as soon as she gets ready" my step mom absently said. God I hate her almost as much as I hate my dumb step sister she's 12 and already wears more makeup than half the town combined. everyone treats her like a goddess she's the most beautiful girl in the school and she puts how she looks over everything. she got held back a year because she failed half her classes because in her words

"smart and pretty don't mix"

which I guess is true I've been told I'm one of the smartest kids in my school when I'm not being lazy. but it is a rare thing for me to be called pretty or beautiful you know besides my parents telling me. I guess it's sort of my fault for that I hate skirts and dresses and makeup I just don't see the point of them.

"Ali terry come sit down we made birthday pancakes" we did as our dad said and sat down. Every year on our birthday our dad made me and Terry special chocolate pancakes

"but Ben they should wait for Abby" my stepmother begged and like hell if I would listen

"what why should we wait for her she's not getting any it's not her birthday" I say trying my hardest to be as rude as possible

"Ali your sister is going to have pancakes you need to be nicer to her I figured you would love to have another girl in the house give Abby and Alexa a chance" I turn to my brother to back me up

"you know Ali hates girly stuff why would she like more girls" thank god for terry being the voice of reason

"that's enough you two your sister is going to eat with us and that's final!" our dad yelled

" she's not our sister!" Me and Terry yelled louder in unison

"thank god for that cause if I look as much like a boy as Ali does I would hate myself" Abby came walking down the stairs and into the kitchen

"Ali is way prettier than you heck even I'm prettier than you Abby."
Terry high fives me celebrating that sick burn

"ENOUGH!! Now I want you kids to eat and be happy about it" our dad yelled

Alexa sets down plates in front of all of us. Abby starts to reach for the syrup but I grab it before she can get to it I pour some on my pancakes then hand it off to Terry. Terry takes it pours some on his food and then gets up from the table and puts it in the cabinet and Comes back and sits down next to me.

"You two are such children." Abby starts to eat her dry pancakes wail me and Terry low five under the table. we all finish up our food and then our dad gets up from the table and went to get mine and Terry's presents.

"Here you go kids one from me and Alexa" he set the four presents in front of us 2 were pink and 2 were blue

"Who's are who's there's no name on them" Terry said looking all over the boxes

"I didn't think that was necessary I thought It would be obvious the pink ones are for Ali and the blue ones are for Terry" she sounded so condescending man I hate her.
