A/N: Just so stuff makes sense, Hunter asked his Vincent if he could go talk to Suve really quick and Vincent was fine with it and he ran to Suve and they went in the pizzeria to talk and then they kinda just sat in silence. Which is where the chapter starts. Also, Thanks a million Domo. (Fairy Tail reference. You get it, right Domo?)

Hunter POV

Still, I can't un-think of what Vincent told me. I bite my lip, I cannot let my thoughts consume me. I have to trust Suve... He's my best friend after all. Suve isn't that kind of person to betray me, right?

Well, there is that one time when Suve accidentally blurted out my crush in front of the whole school... But that's another story for another time.

Nothing can change.

Not at all.

Suve POV

My breaths come out hollow and slow. I have to do something. I cannot let Hunter be under some dumb delusion that his father told him.

I don't want to lose Hunter, nor do I acknowledge my other friends being taken away. A wave of guilt and something else wash over me.

Whatever I've been thinking this whole time, may be a lie. What if Vincent is still Hunter's father, and Vincent just wants to get his son back? I know this isn't like Fairy Tail where Jellal Fernandez makes a guild called Crime sorciere and he wants to repay from all the problems he's done in the past and rid the world of evil... But maybe there is still a part of Vincent where he is still the loving father.

"Hunter," I put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm going to take a walk and maybe investigate for any new clues."

"But, what if somebody tries to capture you?"

"Dude, this isn't human trafficking. I'm not a girl. I'm a mature dude, I'm pretty sure I can take care of myself," I give him a reassuring smile.

He sighs in defeat and says, "Ugh fine."

I give him a thumbs-up and push the door open, exiting into the brightening abyss.
