Anna's POV

"I'll owl you your Christmas presents okay?" I tell Harry Ron and Hermione as we hug in the courtyard. It was the day I had to go home for Christmas. The Weasley's were all staying and so were Harry and Hermione.
"We'll miss you! I wish you didn't have to attend your Christmas Ball" Hermione tells me. They don't know what goes on at Flint Manor and I hope they never will.
"I know, but I will be back in January. It's only two weeks" I tell her giving her a sad smile.

"Come on Anna!" Blaise shouted from the platform. The scarlet red train had pulled into the station, steam pouring out onto the platform.
"I'll see you soon!" I shout picking up my small suitcase and running off toward Blaise who was holding open the carriage door. Blaise and I walk to their usual compartment where we find Draco and his minions.
"Pansy staying at Hogwarts?" Blaise says putting his suitcase on the rack and putting mine up there too.
"Yeah her and Bulstrode are" Draco answers, wrapping his arm around my shoulders as I sat down next to him, Blaise on the other side of me.
"Good, I couldn't handle sitting on this train for 9 hours with her today" Blaise say relaxing into his chair.

Crabbe snores. A lot. He had fallen asleep 10 minutes into the journey, his head lolling against the window.
"I swear if he doesn't shut up soon" Blaise says darkly as I land on his property in Monopoly.
"It's not like he's stopping you from winning is it" Draco tells him grumpily as he is almost bankrupt.
"I don't care he's distracting" Blaise says, rolling the dice.
"Just wake him up then" I exclaim as Blaise lands on my most expensive property.
"Fine" Blaise says mischievously.

He stands up carefully, walking over to the boy and leaning down close to Crabbe's ear.
"CRABBE!" he shouts in his ear. The boy wakes up immediately, arms flailing about. His left hand collides with Blaise's nose and he tumbles to the ground, landing on the monopoly board.
"Are you okay?" I ask him.
"Never better" he replies clutching his nose.
"Episkey" Draco mutters, pointing his wand at Blaise.
"Thanks" Blaise tells him. Draco just nods and starts clearing up the monopoly.

"Anna, you ready?" Marcus says peering his head around the compartment door as we begin to pull into the station.
"As I'll ever be" I tell him. It's only him, Draco and I left as the others left so they wouldn't get caught in the crowd. Marcus sends me a sad smile.
"I'll try stop him. You know I try don't you?" he tells me, bending down to my height and putting a hand on my shoulder. I nod and feel myself be pulled into somebody's chest.
"If you need anything, and I mean anything, owl me. I will come get you out of there" Draco whispers into my hair.
"I will" I mumble trying to reassure him. He lets go and grabs his suitcase and we all leave the compartment.

I can see him standing with the Malfoy's near the platform entrance. He looks as though he has just come from work and is clutching a Daily Prophet in his hand. I can see the cover is a moving picture of Sirius Black. We walk over to our parents. Draco's mother Narcissa wraps him in a hug, telling him how much she missed him. His father placed a hand on his shoulder, welcoming his son back.

My father simply stands there looking at us before deciding to shake Marcus's hand.
"Welcome back son. How are your N.E.W.T.'s coming on?" he questions him, trying to sound interested.
"Good father, I have some revision to do over the holiday" Marcus tells him.
"Good lad" my father says clapping his shoulder. Then he turns to me. He doesn't try to make any sort of physical contact with me. He almost looks disappointed I showed up.

"Annabeth" he states looking at me.
"Father" I reply back, not wanting to get into trouble within the first minute.
"How is your term going?" he asks, leaning forward to pick up my suitcase. I share a confused look with Marcus. Why is he trying to make conversation?
"Fine thank you" I say confused.

"Oh Anna! Look how beautiful you've gotten" Narcissa tells me, spinning me around into a hug, unaware of the awkward situation that had just occurred.
"Thank you Narcissa" I say hugging her back. She pulls away and holds my shoulders at arms length. She has long chestnut hair which she has tied back with white streaks running through it. She is quite tall, yet she looks quite short next to Mr Malfoy.

"Did you have a nice term? I can't believe the school let that wild beast near 3rd years! You and Draco went to the hospital wing didn't you? You poor things" she rants, talking about the incident with Buckbeak.
"We were fine. Madam Pomfrey is a great healer, we were out of there within an hour. Plus, we shouldn't have gone as close to Buckbeak as we did" I tell her, trying to be reassuring.

"Sorry to interrupt you Narcissa but we have a lot of things to do today so we need to go. Feel free to owl and let us know if Draco wants to come see Anna" my father say, putting his hand on my shoulder and squeezing down quite hard.
"Oh I'm sure he will" she says smiling at us as Marcus comes and stands with us before our father apparates us back to our house.

We land in the front room abruptly and I have to rest my hands on my knees, a feeling of sickness rushing through me.
"Right well, I have an emergency work meeting to go to now so settle in, I'll be back at some time tomorrow" father says not meeting our eyes before apparating to the ministry.

"See, we had nothing to worry about" Marcus tells me before calling our house elf, Squiggles, to carry his suitcase up the stairs.
"Yes master" she says grabbing the handle and beginning to drag the suitcase that is double her size.
"Can't you do it yourself Marcus?" I say, not wanting to watch Squiggles struggle.
"What's the point of having a house elf then?" he asks me as though I am stupid.
"To cook food we can't and help us with activities we find to hard to do by ourselves. Not carry your suitcase that weighs more than twice what she does!" I shout at him.
"Fine, have it your way" he says grabbing his suitcase forcefully out of Squiggles hand and dragging it up after him.

"Thank you Miss Flint" Squiggles tells me, bowing.
"Don't be silly, you don't have to bow to me. And you must call me Anna" I say to her, not wanting to upset her. I heard from Harry that the first time he met Dobby was slightly chaotic.
"Yes Miss Anna. Can I get you anything?" she asks.
"Could you make Marcus and I spaghetti for dinner please? Just let us know when it's done" I tell her, not wanting to refuse her offer.
"Yes miss" she says walking off to the kitchen.

Dear Draco,

I just wanted to let you know that everything is okay. Dad said he had an 'emergency meeting' at work and would be back tomorrow. I'm sending my Christmas gift with this letter but I don't want you to open it until Christmas Day okay? I have to go, Squiggles has made spaghetti for dinner.

From Anna

I tied the letter to my owl, Winston, and grabbed Draco's present and tying that on too. It was a moving picture of us on our first day of Hogwarts, both smiling and happy in the Malfoy's living room, in a one armed hug with each other. I also wrapped up a piece of Draco's favourite fudge and sent that too. I watched Winston fly off over the rolling hills behind my house. Then I ran as fast as I could to the kitchen where my steaming plate of spaghetti waited.

Thanks for reading this chapter! I would love to know what you want to see happen. Would you like Anna to have other relationships with people who might not last? Who is your favourite character? Who do you want her to end up with, if you want her to end up with anybody? Feel free to tell me what you think in the comments!
