The Mission

ZACHARY KURJAK pleaded not guilty to a number of charges brought against him, including a charge of money laundering. The crucial piece of evidence, the receipt for payment into the trust fund, was handed in anonymously by an associate of Zach's just before his trial began. In a five-week trial, he was found guilty of all charges and sentenced to twenty-three years in prison.

RILEY KURJAK assaulted a police officer during his father's arrest, but was later released without charge. He and his mother, MARIA KURJAK, moved to a new home in Adelaide after Zach's sentencing.

KUWAT and his associate TIRTO were briefly investigated by Victoria Police as a result of George's evidence, but both took up residence in Indonesia before any charges could be brought.

As a result of the investigation by ASIS into the Syndicate, thirty-two arrests were made throughout early 2012. Due to the complex nature of many of these trials, the majority will not conclude until 2013. The organisation itself collapsed and the Australian government has claimed a notable reduction in the amount of organised crime taking place in Melbourne and nationwide.

LINDA HANDSER and DAWN LOPEZ were both promoted for their role in the undercover mission and have since moved on to other anti-organised crime missions.

ALICE BLYTHE moved to New Zealand in March 2012, but struggled with depression. After a brief period in a mental health institution, she recovered and has now runs a florists in New Plymouth.

The Cherubs

As a result of the training exercise, more CCTV was installed in the urban warfare compound and the camera system was overhauled. It is expected to reopen for exercises in mid-2012.

REX REYNOLDS was sent on a mission in Scotland with JEMIMA SUZUKI, and the two of them are said to be 'hating each other's guts'.

LETTICIA KATZ still outranks George and makes sure he knows it every day. She is continuing to work with her voice coach and is waiting for her next mission so she can go for a black shirt.

PETER GRAHAM is continuing his role as CHERUB's Australian liaison, but has agreed to also act as a mission controller for other missions within the UK and elsewhere.

KATIE DARK received a full-ride athletic scholarship to Texas A&M University in the United States, commencing September 2012. She departed campus in mid-April to travel to France with her brother. The following day, CHERUB received notice that her nomination for the Australian Bravery Medal was turned down, since it was felt that it might compromise a possible future intelligence role in Australia. She is hoping to compete in the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

GEORGE KNIGHT is catching up with his schoolwork on campus and has been entered for an intensive two-week combat training course. He hopes to be available for another mission by the summer.
