In this world society is split in two. There's the regular people, and then there's the Petals, aka the Flower Project People. In the 1900s the government designed a Project called the Flower Project. This project would separate the country in two using a large wall. One side would hold the "normal" people while the other would hold the Petals. The petals apply to any person who has gone through severe trauma in their life-time.

The government thought that by separating them they could help people with trauma and keep everyone else safe. But there were many, MANY problems with this. First of all someone who had been through serious trauma had to be separated from friends and family, even children and if two people who were both petals had a child the child was automatically one of them and if it was a petal and a normal person the person who wasn't a petal got to keep the baby. There weren't enough trained professionals to help everyone anyways so most of the stuff people do today on the flower side of the wall doesn't actually help them. Not to mention you can't just divide the entire country in half because some people have trauma. That's messed up.

The government tried to bribe them by saying that rules that had to do with keeping people safe and avoiding abuse would be more strict while every other law, such as drinking age, driving age and more, would either be taken out or loosened. The government is clearly run by a bunch of morons. Millions of people end up on the flower side of the wall each year, but five of them are about to completely rediscover who they are, and who they're meant to be with.

Authors Note: Hello humans! This book is my first one so plz go a little easy on me, lol. there's a bit of comedy and lots of romance but a few slightly mature things as well so beware. I'm open to ideas for chapters in the future and constructive criticism but please refrain from any spoilers or insults. I appreciate you all! (Also it gets better in chapter one. This was really just so you know what's going on. Promise.)
