Ok so I don't usually do this but I have to this is a previous part in the chapter since I skipped the last episode I am going to tell you what's happened.
Danielle is dead because I white man thought she was reaching for a gun when she was pulled over and instead of saying "put your hands up" he shoots and kills her.
Now we are in the present
Carlotta: seems like the bad things always happenin' to the good people. Romans 8:28 says "we know that for those who love god, all things work together for good, for those who called according to his purpose@ lord I'm tryin' to figure it out but i can't see the purpose in this.
Gladys: She was so bossy. Ooh from the minute she was born, she started running things. She was a... she was a doer, she was a go-getter. And she worked way through school. What a child. She'll stand the test. What happened to Danielle, it was wrong. It was wrong! And this is the world that we live in! And the way we live in it. It's the reason why she's not here.
It was then pasted Harris went back up to the stage. (Ok everyone if u are not into the whole church ⛪️ thing then that is why I will skip ⏭ that part)( ok I cannot find the actual song 🎵 that was sung so I'm going to decide just bare with me and rosie sang a song link below)

 RIP NAYA RIVERA

Ok at the salon
Derrick was talking about protecting against the police and everyone was aboard when a certain little 6 years old girl heard him.
Shine: uncle Derrick can I go with you guys
All: NO!
Shine: mama why can't I protest
Star: I'm sorry love bug but you cannot do that it's not safe
Shine: but uncle Derrick said peace protest
Carlotta: no shine star is right you can't go it's to dangerous and not safe for a little girl and someone who is pregnant
She said that directly at Ariana who was made and she found out 2 days ago that she she was 2 months pregnant.
Outside with Alex and Derrick
Derrick is spray painting a fence. Then he sees his girlfriend and says
Derrick: yo!yo!
Alex: I know. Meeting at 7:30.
Derrick: how 'bout you sing at the rally?
Alex: Sing? No, I'm not doing that
Derrick: why not?
Alex: Because... it's about Danielle, not us.
Derrick: your group should sing. Protest songs are tradition. Odetta sang at the March on Washington.
Alex: we're not odetta. Especially not Star. I don't trust her to take it seriously, all right?
Derrick: your wrong. Star is— out of her mind, but she's down. But I'm not talking about star. I'm talking about you. Come on baby just sing. Keep it 100. You want to move the people? Come on.
Derrick says as he leans in for a kiss.
In the room with shine, Ariana, Simone, and Alex
Alex: all right what are we trying to say here?
Simone: that's the same old story, day after day, and it's only getting worse.
Alex and Ariana nodded in agreement with Simone as Alex says
Alex: that works.
Star now walked in the room and was in the doorway and said
Star: What's up?
Simone: Derrick wants us to sing at the protest.
Star: I like that
Alex: I told them I wasn't sure. I didn't want it to become just another social media op for us.
Star: you mean me. Why don't you just say it?
Alex: you like the spotlight more than the music. Look we're taking a stand for Danielle and her family. But I can't imagine you know what everyday people go through.
Star: Everyday people like who, you? No I can't. Bitch, I'm everyday people. I wasn't born with a silver spoon up my ass.
Alex: it doesn't matter where where I'm from. Collage park or park avenue, I'm black wherever I go.
Star: okay.
Simone: so am I. Oh wow.

rosie stays silent

star: So I'm just to white for all of you. That's what this is. Okay. And that's how you feel, too?
Star says Talking to Simone, rosie, and alex
Star: being half black? and mexican
