"Aphmau look," Aaron says nudging my arm a little. I look up from my phone and see we are at the airport! Planes can be seen taking off in the distance behind the building, sending a loud soar along with. I feel the butterflies in my stomach developing. This would be my first time flying. I give out an awkward laugh and slouch down in my seat. "Aph, what's wrong? You okay.?"
"Y-yeah! It's just that I'm getting nervous considering that I've never been on an airplane before..." I say playing with my fingers. I hear a laugh slip from Aaron, and I glare at him. "What's funny?"
He continues to laugh while pulling out his phone.
"Aph, it's okay if you never flew before. I haven't either. So, I guess you can say we're in the same boat." He says looking my way and placing his hand on top of my head messing up my hair. "Now, can you call Katelyn to see if they are here? I'm going to call my dad and let him know we are here."
"Hey!" I say moving his hand from my head. "That wasn't very nice, and alright I'll call her."
Still looking in my direction, he sticks out his tongue playfully and goes back to calling his father. I giggle and do the same but instead of calling Katelyn, I'm going to call Travis. I dial up his number and it went straight to voice mail. Hmm. Maybe his phone was dead. I didn't bother calling again so I called Katelyn's cell but instead of her answering, it was Nana. Before I can even get a word out you can hear Katelyn in the background yelling.
"Nana, what's going on?" I say giggling figuring it would just be Katelyn and Travis going at it again. "Oh! Well, we are here as well. Aaron's on the phone with his da now actually," I say looking at Aaron who was outside of the car now. I didn't even notice. Looking closely at his expression he was not too happy. Maybe something happened between him and his father. But who am I to say what's wrong.
"Nana, you guys stay there I'll call you back," I said my eyes still on Aaron. I hang up and get out of the car. Before I can even hear what, the conversation was about, he hung up. He ran his hands through his hair and muttered something under his breath. I was worried for him.
"Aaron.?" I say inching closer to him. "What happened?"
No response. I was going to call out for him again, but he turned around looking at me with a happy smile. He just had an angered face. Now he was acting as if he wasn't okay? I want to question him, but it is best not to. I do not want to make him madder than what he already is. I walk up to him closing the space between us and hug him. He hugged me back tighter than I expected. I pull back and look at him. He looks so happy, but I know they were arguing about something.
"Nana said they were still at the entrance of the airport," I say placing my hand on his chest. "Shall we get going then?"
He pauses for a second and grabs a hold of my hand that I had placed on his chest. He nods his head and drags me back to the car. We get in and drive towards the entrance. It was silent the way there. I wanted to ask if his parents were here as well, but I don't think that would be the best thing to ask right now.
We made it to the entrance and inside you can see Katelyn getting ready to punch Travis but is being held back by Garroth. Aaron gets out of the car and goes up to a valet close by. I get out excitedly and open the trunk. I use all my strength to pull out my suitcase and drag it to the entrance doors.
"Katelyn! Nana!" I shout when the doors opened. They look my way, and a huge smile grew across their faces. They run my way and tackle me down with a tight hug. We laugh and get up dusting ourselves off from any dirt that got on us.
