We were teleported inside the dungeon it was rather plain look just a long corridor with a wall we had to jump over we entered a room with a single robot that immediately looked at me as a red line appeared from the robot onto me"Huh whats this?!! " a second later the robot shot I dodged out the way only getting hit once before Kureha killed it.
" Oh um right I probably should told you how to equip a gun"she said rubbing the back of her neck embarrassed.
"You think!!!! I didn't know it started yet,sigh"
"Ok well let's start now OK do you see a small button with lines on your screen, press that" she told me I looked around and saw the button she described touching it my vision was obscured by a menu with the map in the middle. "OK now in your party you should see my name and yours click your one" following I clicked it showing an image of me and an empty spot that said equip I clicked on it and left the menu as a gun materialised in my hand.
"Huh is this it..... It kinda looks like junk" I said going over the gun.
It looked like a small plastic toy crudely put together.
"Well it is the starter weapon... So what did you expect?"
"I don't know.... Anyway let's find something to kill" I said to her going ahead and spotting two robots.
"OK when you put your finger on the trigger a red line will appear, that's your bullet circle it shows where its most likely to land when you fire" she told me, I took aim puttingy finger on the trigger as a red line appeared onto the robot's head I pulled the trigger as the gun shot full auto taking the head off, I was taken back by the recoil not expecting it I took aim for the second one and it wasn't a noticeable kick. "Good one see your a natural" she patted me on the back walking ahead
"Full auto pistol really didn't think of saying anything?" I asked with a hand on my hip
"Oh right but like the recoil isn't noticeable is it?"
"Well not when I knew it was full auto still a weird choice" I commented
So far this tournament was easy just kill a few bots nothing hard I thought until we came against my first challenge.
I opened the door to reveal two players finishing a squad of bots of I had the element of surprise so I lined up and fired at the player hitting him in the head and I expected to see him drop but instead  he turned around confused as his health bar shrunk an inch they both laughed at me before firing at me forcing me to duck behind cover just as they both approached Kureha killed them both before they could fight back"Well that-*thap* Ow wwhat-"I grabbed her by the collar shaking her
" What the hell why didn't I do damage am I really that underleved?...... Why did you invite me here, as bait or something?!?!"
"Please st-op sha-king m-me!!" she stopped me forcing us apart "Right uh see in this game..." she looked nervous scratching the back of her head as I stood across from her arms crossed".... In this game there's two types of weapons physical and optical.... And well optical guns are for AI enemies while physical are for player's and well you're gun is...... Optical"she said the last part under her breath
"What was that?"
"Your gun is optical not made for player's!!"
"OK I'm quitting" I told her bringing up my menu
"Ahh wait wait" she grabbed my arm shaking me "Im sorry don't leave..... Please I need you" she said with a puppy dog face with even a tear somehow trying to guilt me.
'Can you even cry in game?!?' I shouted in my head "Fine god dammit!! But is there anything else I should know?!"
"Well no.... Not for now"

Taking her word for it we continued taking out another squad as I acted as bait, I found a chest hoping for a gun only to pull out a rusty screw which Kureha said was useful for crafting but'Who cares about that right now!?!?' regardless we pushed on until we rounded a corner running into Itsuki and someone with him "Oh shit top player and can't even do damage.... Can I quit now?" I whispered to Kureha out of his earshot.
"Are you this eager to quit in other games?!?" Kureha whisper-shouted back
"In other games I can do damage... I know when the odds are not in my favour"
"Well he hasn't shot yet maybe he wants to talk"
"Oh its you two...." he said
"If you don't think you can fight run on my signal then" she whispered to me
"Hmm planning on running, gotta admit propably the smart choice but you know the second you turn well shoot... I don't know about Kureha but you'll die in one hit newbie" Itsuki said pointing at me
"You'll shoot us if we don't run as well!!" I shouted back at him
"I'd like to you're say your right... But it wouldn't be much of a fight... It'd be so dull rather not waste the bullets"
"So you're letting us go?"
"Haha of course not this is GGO.... but let's see rather die by me or one the enemies?" he said putting his on his chin in thought "Let's make a deal see there's a troublesome foe ahead and they've propably laid a trap.... So if you beat them and live I'll let you go"
"What do you think we can beat him like this" Kureha asked me
"Let's do it better survival odds right?"
"Good choice"

"Don't worry I might lie but I never break a promise I'll just watch" he said with a mischievous smile.
