6.Bazalt Joe

I was walking towards the teleported in Glocken when somebody ran and stopped directly in front of me.
It was Bazalt Joe, he took a sec to get his breath back 'We're in Vr man'
"Hey! How's business being treating you? Is now a good time to talk? I, er... Nevermind. I shouldn't have bugged you, sorry" he apologised.
"OK man no worries I'll see you around" I told him and walked past him heading towards the teleported.
When I heard footsteps behind me and Bazalt Joe jumped in front again "No, wait! Don't go!"
"Sigh, what is it now?"
I knew this guy wouldn't stop until he said what he wanted so I stopped.
"I noticed you didn't bring a, uh.... certain someone along with you today. I'm not saying you should've. I'm just surprised since you two are inseparable. So, level with me here:what's the deal between you two?"
"Oh well the easiest way to put it issssss...... She's an Ai, so we're kinda like master and servant, though if you ask me I don't see it that way" I explained to him as calmy as possible only for him to flip out.
"What?! Really?!? THAT'S an AI?!? You're not pulling my chain, are you?"he said wildly flinging his arms.
'Is it really that hard to believe?'
"Seriously, I saw it around town recently and it just straight up fell flat on its face. There wasn't even anything to trip on!" he exclaimed
'God I really hope each Arfa-sys is based of it's master. What does that say about me?'
"It's just so easygoing, too. I had no idea AI were like that.. Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. I have a big favor to ask you! The kind a man only asks once in his life!" he stopped for a dramatic pause "I want you to hand over your Arfa-sys to me!"
"Now you're getting ahead of yourself!!"
"I'll give you everything and more! Look I know I didn't make the best first impression because I'm «Mister Number Two» or whatever, but that's okay!"
"Are you seriously still hung up on that! Look she didn't mean it in a bad-"he didn't even let me finish
" And I know I'm not the sharpest tool, but I know a good catch... And that AI is a good catch. I mean sure it's always screwing something up or saying something dumb but that's part of the charm. I can't take my eyes off it! "
"Dude you're starting to sound a little stalker like" I told him but he either ignored it or didn't hear.
"I know we have what it takes to hit it off! I don't care if its clumsy! It's cute!I'll raise it to be the best partner ever!"
'Sounds like grooming in a weird way'
"So what'll it be, Will you hand it over to me? I'm begging you please!"
"Look sorry man but I'm not handing her over, like you said even I don't care if she's clumsy but she's a friend and I don't sell my friends to creeps.... No offense"
"Yeah I guess you're right. You're just not the type to sell off a friend. We'll I've said my peice and I'm sticking to it. I don't regret what I've said. Just remember your Arfa-sys is lie any item anybody will try and steal it. Watch your step. You never know when I'm around"
He bid me farewell and left shortly there after "He didn't even deny the creep stuff, Vr or real life there's weirdos everywhere"
"Master!!" I turned around and saw Sakura running towards me when she slipped and fell flat onto the ground.
"Good god he was right. She is clumsy"

I called Kureha and Yuuki to help me in the Wasteland if what Joe said was true then I would have to watch my back "How does an AI get a stalker?" Kureha asked me
"I don't know!" I told her
"Maybe you should report him" she said
"I mean he's weird true but I don't think he's a bad guy"
"Plus can you even report a guy for creeping on an AI. If you could Klein would've been banned ages ago" Yuuki added hopping behind us.
"Aha there you are!" I swung around and look at the ruined city entrance and saw Joe.
"Ah I was too busy watching my back I didn't check my front!"
"I know what you're after. You want Rei all to yourself! Sorry but that's not happening. Go poach somebody else's or rent one. You're not getting Rei! Kureha told him readying her Uzi.
"No can do. All I want is your Arfa-sys and I ain't budging until I have it!
"Sorry. I'm not going anywhere! "Sakura bowed.
" Urgh.. I won't lie I like people who don't beat around the bush"
"Can't you get it through your head?! Ríe doesn't like you! Period! Just give up! You're getting creepy!
"Just starting to? It was creepy before! "I whispered to Kureha
" I promise it will still be as free as it is now. I don't give a damn who it's registered to. The fact is I want it and its going to be mine come hell or high water!!" Joe declared getting a little giggle out of Sakura.
" Ehehe... I won't lie. I like a guy who's a little stubborn!"
" I challenge you to combat! Right here, right now!
"Aha I thought you'd never ask" Yuuki cheered turning on her purple blade.
"Sigh, I don't get a choice really do I?"
"I'll make you a deal, if I win I get the Arfa-sys! But on the off chance I lose I'll give something nice for your trouble"
"OK fine let's fight then"
"Yeah!!"

The atmosphere immediately changed as Joe pulled out a machine gun and let loose a volley of bullets forcing us all to retreat and find cover. "Joe's a much higher level than me, fighting him myself would be suicide"
I quickly popped out and shot Joe in the head but it barely took any health off "Case in point I don't do much damage"
"So what do we do?" Kureha asked me
"Well he wouldn't hurt Rei, right?" Yuuki asked, we both nodded "How about we turn her into a bomb?"
"Argh, Master you can't let her do that!!"
"Yeah that seems kinda unethical" Kureha said "Plus would one grenade do the trick? He would see Rei walking towards with bombs if she has too many"
"Yeah he would see someone walking towards him, but not from above" I said outloud
"Have you got a plan, Zero?"
"Well Joe is a veteran player meaning he expects a certain playstyle,but with UFG I can make my own rules. I've got an idea"

Bazalt Joe's pov
Five minutes into the fight and I was the last man standing from my team all we managed to accomplish was killing the purple haired girl while Zero and the pink haired girl were stuck behind cover firing at me blindly "This is getting ridiculous. Time to end this!" I pulled out my last and grenade, primed it and threw it over the cover directly at their cover. A second later an explosion blasted their cover apart, I let loose a volley and saw one kill notification "Haha well looks like I won kid. Now throw down your weapon and I won't kill ya. No need to also throw away your exp and items!"
The kid admitted defeated as a gun was thrown through the dust loud, I stepped out from cover and walked towards them gun still ready if they tried anything funny.
Stepping through the cloud was stupid so I waited until it past but the kid was nowhere to be seen only her Arfa-sys. "What?!"
"Joeeee!!!!!" sounded above me.
I turned around and saw the kid in the sky diving towards me with a photon sword activate.
I didn't have time to shoot, instead I blocked her attack with my gun, I psuehd her away but she quickly dashed at me and I blocked with my gun again "Ha pretty good, but don't yell next time you try and sneak attack"
My moment of triumph was suddenly in jeopardy as she simply smirk and moved her closed left hand infront of her.
She opened her hand to reveal a grenade it was then I realised..... SHE'S STRAPPED WITH GRENADES!! "Bang" she said

*BOOM*

No promises though and I can't even say when the next chapter is.
