Its cold
My head hurts
Where... am I?
I wearily open my eyes and look around. I'm laying on the ground, its cloudy and snowing. I try to sit up only for my head to scream in protest. I yelp instinctively and lay back on the ground. It's freezing, but the snow doesn't hurt as bad as my head does..
Suddenly my plan to lay in the snow forever is interupted by the sounds of someone running toward me. "Who-" I began to wonder out loud before someone grabbed my hands and pulled me to my feet. "OW!" I yelled, staggering backwards and leaning up against a tree to prevent myself from falling again before looking up to see who the culprit of this was.
A girl with blue eyes and wild blue hair pulled up into two pigtails stood before me. She was wearing a black jacket with a white button-up shirt underneath. She had two pink ribbons in her hair that matched another pink ribbon that was around her neck, almost like a bowtie. She looked concerned, but had a weird half-smile on her face. her dark skin was covered in scrapes and cuts as if she had tumbled down a hill.
"You okay? Your head is bleeding like crazy!" She said. I instinctively reached up to touch my head and looked at my fingers, which were now covered in a pink liquid. No doubt I was bleeding. "Hey, can you talk? Did you forget how to speak when you hit your head?" She said, waving a hand in my face. "Y-yeah, but what the hell happened?" I said, realizing my voice sounded hoarse and shaky.
"You fell out of that tree. I didn't even know you were there, honestly." The girl said, pointing upwards to the snow-covered tree branches that towered over us, seeming to shudder with the icy wind. "Anyways, I'm being rude, I should probably introduce myself. My name's Katherine Vixen, the Ultimate Seamstress, but you can call me-"
"KAT!"
A voice from somewhere within the trees finished Kat's sentence for her. I looked around for where it came from, being careful not to strain my injured head too much as I did so, when a short, skinny girl came running toward the two of us.
The first thing that jumped out at me about her was that she was wearing a round white mask over her face. It was expressionless and featureless, save for two eye holes and two pink flowers under the left eye. She had fluffy pink hair that went all the way down her back, and bangs that covered her right eye. Her actual eyes were completely hidden in the shadow of the mask. She wore a headband with two dark pink devil horns, and a hoodie of the same color. She had a black-and-white striped skirt on that was just above her knees, and she wore torn black tights and black boots. She had on a black backpack that looked like it didn't have very many things in it.
She looked up at us, breathing hard. "K-kat! I found you! Why did you leave me all alone with those people...?" She said, her voice even shakier than mine.
"Ah man, sorry 'rina.. I got carried away exploring.. but the good news is I found someone else! I think he's the last one!" Kat said to the mysterious girl.
"Who are you? And does anyone mind telling me what's going on?" I said, slightly annoyed that they were talking about me as if I was an oblivious kid.
"Ah, m-my bad.. my name is Marina Gallows, u-ultimate digital artist. And to your second question-"
"That's exactly what we're trying to figure out." Kat said, cutting her off in the middle of her sentence. Marina sighed. "C-can you walk? We should go meet up with the others again."
"I think so..." I staggered forward from the tree. It hurt, but I could walk. "Right, lets go then." Kat said as her and Marina began walking toward what looked like.. a school..? So many things didn't make sense. Why was I in a tree? How many of us were here? Why is there a school in the middle of the forest? Why was it snowing in August? And more importantly, how on earth did I get here?I'd have to worry about that later, because suddenly we were there. The three of us stepped into the school, the warmth of which was a welcome relief. I followed them as they navigated the hallways, murmuring things that I was just out of earshot to hear. They pushed open two big doors and we entered what looked like a cafeteria, with a bunch of people standing around toward the center of it.
"Hey, you two're back!" Said a boy with unkempt black hair, pale freckled skin, and a bandage on his face. He had dark red eyes and a smile so wide that it seemed almost fake. Something about him seemed icky to me, but I couldn't put my finger on why. Suddenly his eyes met mine. "Oh, you brought someone else? Who're you, the pale one with the pointy ears I mean?"
I assumed he was talking about me. "Er, my name is Erwin Cypress.. I'm the ultimate animal tamer." I said, wearily stepping toward the group as Kat and Marina followed suit. "Nice to meetcha! My name's Alex Freese, I'm the ultimate psycho killer!"
I stepped back a bit in shock, but I noticed everyone around was rolling their eyes as if they were annoyed. "Ha, just messing with ya! I'm actually the ultimate prankster. Did I getcha?" He said, the same stupid smile remaining plastered to his face. "Yeah.. you sure did.." I said, squinting my eyes in a mix of suspicion and confusion.
Suddenly, an intense dizziness came over me and my head hurt more much intensely than before. "Oh god." I said softly before my feet buckled from under me and I passed out.
