Mama

   You walked in the door and took off your shoes and sighed. It had been a long day at work and you were exhausted. You heard tiny rapid footsteps before tiny arms wrapped around your legs. You smiled and picked up Izuku and spun him around. He giggled.

"How was your day sweetie?" You asked.

"It was super fun! We played superheroes and watched All Might videos!!" He said excitedly. You put him down before talking with the babysitter, Emica. She was a good friend of yours and was a ton of help. She had strawberry blonde hair that went to her mid back and forest green eyes. She had round glasses and freckles. Very pretty. The both of you had been friends since kindergarten. You both talked for a few minutes before she took her leave.

"How was your day mama?" Izuku asked.

"My day was good Izu. But guess what? I got a surprise for you!" With that his eyes lit up and started to hope around, begging to know what it was. You went to your bag and pulled out a brand new All Might figurine. He gasped before jumping up and hugging you, saying thank you over and over.

"Your welcome. You've been so good lately, so I thought I'd get you a new figurine!" He hurriedly went to his room to put it on his shelf. You went to the kitchen before starting to make dinner. When he came out you put on Spongebob to keep him occupied. You made some curry before calling him to come eat.

"What's for dinner mama?"

"I made us some curry!"

"Oooh! I love curry! Thank you mama!" You both began to eat, while talking about Izuku's day. While eating, your thoughts began to drift to Inko. She was your other friend, but was sadly killed on her way to work during a villain attack two years ago. Izuku was much younger, and could hardly remember that time. You had another friend, Mitsuki, but the two of you had gotten into a major fight a few years ago, over something stupid your sure. You hadn't talked to her since and Inko had mentioned that she changed numbers. Although, Izuku was still friends with her son, Katsuki.

"Mama? Are you okay?" You snapped out of your thoughts at his voice and gave him a smile.

"Yes, I'm just a little tired right now Zuzu."

"Well then you should go to bed! Come on, I'll help you!" You giggled as he dragged you to your room and tried to help you. After a while, you were both in your rooms, sleeping. You woke up at two in the morning to little hands shaking your shoulder. Your eyes slowly opened your eyes to see a teary eyed Izuku.

"M-Mama.." His bottom lip quivered and he sniffed,"I had a nightmare." You pulled him into a hug and he sobbed into your shoulder. Izuku thought back to his nightmare. It was so scary. He saw you die and he couldn't help you. He had no quirk. It's just like kacchan said, he was just a useless Deku. He was dragged from his thoughts when he heard you speak.

"Was it the same nightmare?" He just nodded.

"You're my little hero Izu." His head snapped up and he looked at your face. You had told him lots of times since he was diagnosed as quirkless, but this time, there was so much emotion behind it.

"But I'm qui-"

"No buts. One day, you're gonna prove everyone wrong, and show them that you can be a great hero! I know you can Zuzu, you just gotta believe in yourself." More tears started to drip from his eyes. He hugged you tight and refused to let go. Those were the words he desperately needed to hear. After a few more minutes of crying, he felt his eyes begin to droop.
