I sigh loudly looking at me and kentrell messages seeing that they weren't going through. This has been happening for a month now for all of them and when I call it'll say this number has been disconnected but I still text it in hopes that one day they'll reply.

I go to instagram going to our message thread seeing that he still hadn't replied to when I wished him happy birthday. They never came back to BR they all moved to Atlanta and just forgot about me.

When I found out I cried for three days. Teelee is out there most of the time and she got a new number so I haven't talked to her either. It's like they blew up and left me in the past just like I always feared they would.

"Can you send Aaliyah Wilson to guidance?" Mrs. Kingston says over the intercom "yes she's on her way" Ms Cambridge says as I stand up grabbing my things. I walk out of the classroom and since the guidance office isn't far I get there fast. When I walk in Mr. Gainey is sitting behind his desk.

"Good afternoon miss Wilson come take a seat" he says gesturing to the seat in front of him. I sit down and he pulls out this folder with my name on it. "Okay so last year you were taking honors and you took some online classes along with online college courses for LSU correct?" I nod at him.

What I don't get is why tha hell he asking if he looking at my folder. "So I called you here because you and four other students from your grade have been hand picked to take the state test in two weeks. I'm sure your aware that this test if passed with the highest score of 1800 you will be able to skip your junior year" my heart starts to pound.

"Y-yes" I stutter and he nods "with that being said I advise you to study a lot because this could put you in the best college and fast" he says and I nod "good now you can go back to class miss Wilson" he says with a smile and I stand up. "Oh and by the way I'm very proud of you your the top of your class..keep up the good work" he says stopping me. I smile big "thank you" I say then leave. Once I'm in the hallway and I see there's no one around I squeal so loud I could've broken the windows.

The bell rings so I just go to my fourth block which I share with nay. I met her other friends and now I'm friends with them too.

5:49pm

"Bye y'all" I say getting out of tyquain Tahoe "byeee!" They all tell after me as I shut the door. I walk up to my house and they pull off. I walk in and shut the door behind dropping my book bag by the door and walking to living where my mama is sitting on the couch.

"Hey ma" I say going to sit next to her "hey where were you?" She asks looking over at me. "Me and nay them went to McDonald's after school" I tell her and she nods "when she comin back over?" She asks as I stand up to go in the kitchen. "This weekend I'm going over to her house you remember?" I ask opening the refrigerator.

"Oh yeah I forgot" she says and I pull out the left over chocolate cake my mama brought two days ago. Okay so this weekend is this party at this senior house and we were was invited since one of the guys Leon is a senior and they play football together.

I fix my piece of cake then put the container back before going into the living room. "Guess what?" I say to my mama and she looks up at me "what?" I smile knowing what I'm about to tell her is gon get a good reaction out of her. "I was hand picked to take the state test in two weeks" she smiles wide and jumps up "OH MY GOD" she says and pulls me into a hug.

"Go upstairs and start studying gon head" she pulls away and rushes me upstairs. I laugh but go upstairs after grabbing my book bag.
