If Life Was Easier || NCT DREAM FF (redoing story line so stuff fit)

Miyoung threw the smoke bomb. The bomb exploded with grey smoke surrounding the four of them. 

"Take care of the secrets and Sooyeon," Miyeon gave a harsh push and Taeyong flew into a cart filled with hay. 

The horse ran through the rain and the sound of an explosion was heard. Taeyong was too far to see what had happened. 

After the smoke cleared the three charged a swiftly take out 5 of them but then another group of assassins came in. Haechan threw a bomb with a timer of 2 minutes. They made sure all the assassins were in the areas of the bomb. The three looked at each other agave a nod. 

They all jumped onto a roof just out of the explosion area and with a push the explosion was heard. Mark was badly injured while Haechan and Miyeon had minor injuries. Miyeon looked down at the ashes of the dead bodies and a tear slipped down. 

"We will avenge you all," Miyeon whispered and the three of them ran into a forest nearby and wandered around. 

Mark fell and painting with sweat. Haechan carefully checked his back and saw a huge gash from a blade. 

"We need to find somewhere to rest," Haechan looked up at Miyeon and back at Mark who was lying there barely awake. 

"There was a small hut around here I saw it coming here," Miyeon looked around, and there she spotted a hut. The hut wasn't in very great shape but would do for now. 

Inside the hut, there were two beds, a couch, a fireplace, and a stove. There wasn't much but this is all they could get. Haechan carefully placed Mark on the bed and went to search for some water to fix the wound. 

Miyeon gave Mark a pill so he wouldn't go unconscious and make the wounds worse. She fixed up her own wounds which were just small blade scratches and a cut that wasn't deep. Haechan rushed in with a bucket of water and carefully ripped the clothing from his scarf and cleaned the wound. 

"We should stay here and just get better than finding Taeyong," Miyeon looked at the hut. 

"Okay," Haechan let Mark rest, and the two cleaned the hut and fixed the big openings. 

"Than we trained and trained to get better. We started searching for you only 6 months ago. Who knew we would find you so fast," Mark smiled and gave Taeyong a stack of papers. 

"That's what we have gathered about the gang who has been killing of the family," Mark continued. 

"The weird thing is that only families and groups who are close to uhm," Haechan paused then looked at Miyeon. 

"You, they are targeting those who are close to you or have a connection," Miyeon said "But don't worry we won't leave you for that," 

"Thanks but I should cut all connections from others, I trust you guys will protect yourself well," Taeyong patted Haechan's back. 

They took this time to catch up on everything and to meet each other well. They needed to find out who took them and why they let them escape quite easily. The injured rested and they decided to stay hidden.

"Did you get the location?" 

"Yes sir" 

"Good, don't let them get alarmed let them be for a few days and send a group of spies the trusting ones," 

"Yes, sir is the Vision team good," 

"How many are there?" 

"Seven and pretty good at the spying have been with us for almost 3 years sir" 

"Good enough go ahead," 

"Yes sir," 

The man walked out of the office and fled out of the hidden chamber. He headed north into the woods and stopped in front of a tree that opened up into a dark hole and he stepped on in.

"Does anything feel odd to you," Jaemin spoke to Jeno? 

Jeno turned his head to Jaemin and replied, "No nothing really," 

"But we escaped so easily if they wanted to kill us wouldn't they have done so," Jaemin asked still thinking about what had happened 2 days ago. 

"I don't know but we are safe for now, don't worry okay," Jeno gave Jaemin water since it sounds he was worrying too much.

" Okay I won't," Jaemin took the water and drank it but still found something odd. 

 Right then a tree branch snapped outside of the wooden wall. And another snap of 7 Jeno and Jaemin turned but saw nothing. Jeno got up to check through the window to only see 3 dead rats which were odd for they were stabbed with daggers and were murdered. Jeno struggled it off and went back inside to tell the rest of them about the dead rats. 

The next day news of three villagers from a town where Taeyong has helped had died. The three were a family of a farmer, his wife, and their son who was no older than 10. They laid on a pile of leaves with three daggers stabbed into their chest. Jeno found those scenes very familiar and a flashback hit. He saw the three rats dead on a leaf were a warning. He tried to memorize the dagger look. 

"I'm not sure who this is but this dagger is very unique and was left on purpose bc there are stab wounds here and here too but no dagger left," Jaemin said pointing at the back of the farmer and legs. 

They were killed the same way with their legs being cut first then their back slashed and stabbed in the chest. The kills were messy and seemed to have them purposely find these bodies. Just then a timer sound was heard from behind. The countdown started counting and flame flickering.
