School

BRRIIIINNNGGGG!!!!!!!!!
Her alarm went off, as loud as a time bomb. She slowly sat up in her bed, tired.
"I don't want to go."
She hesitated for a moment but stood up anyways. Meldy put on her clothes and went downstairs. She saw Kayla's father making bacon.
"Your awake."
She shrugs.
After she ate, she went outside and walked to school. She dragged her feet along the sidewalk.

Finally she reached school. Meldy referred to it as hell. It was. No one talked to her, they were always mean to her.

But today was different. She was finally with her best friend she met on Instagram.
"Hey!" Taylor called out.
Meldy quickly ran across the hallway to her friend. They were similar in a way, a way that cannot be explained.

They walked to lunch after 4 periods of learning.
"Ugh. I hate math," Meldy sighed.
"I hate everything," Taylor said without hesitation.
"You and me both."

They walked past the office. Meldy noticed a flyer for a school talent show.
"Hey Taylor. Check this out."
She reads the flyer carefully.
"We should sign up!" Taylor said.
"I kinda want to have a group."
Taylor waved her hands at a group of girls. They came over.
"You must be Meldy!"
They all seemed happy to her. Meldy thought It was a joke. Taylor started explaining and the group nodded.
"Alright! We can sign up now."

Meldy and Taylor went inside and filled in an application form. They handed it in to the lady and left.
Meldy wasn't looking, so she tripped on a chair leg. A boy her age grabbed her before she fell.
"U..Uh thanks," she stutters.
He pushes her glasses back into place and stands her up straight.
"Try looking where you are going okay? Okay. Well I'll see you around."
The boy walked away and Meldy turned around to see the faces on the girls.
"What?" She said confused.
"That's Brian Tanner! The most popular boy in school."
"Uh I don't think so."
Meldy starts walking away.
