Maverick Pov

We made it back to Hereford,as we got there this tall scottish operator told us to meet Harry in  his office.Both me and Taina nodded.We both got to his office and sat down in front of Harry and he started to brief us on the Mission

Harry:Ahh I see you two had a bit of early exercise,so I won't waste your time.It's a simple mission all you have to do is get rid of some white masks held up in a location,from the intel  our notorious hacker Dokkaebi give us the white masks are hiding in Redmond,Oreagon Also if there is any intel please bring it back.

I got out first waiting for Taina

Erik:I'll see you outside on the landing pad?

Taina:Whatever,don't be late.

I got back to my dorm and grabbed my gear,Harry was already sending me out on my first mission,I think he's putting a lot of trust on me.I got to the landing pad and the chopper was ready,I spoke to the pilot his name was Jager or Marius.

Erik:So you are the pilot of this aircraft?

Marius:Dah you must be Maverick,Yes?

Erik:Correct,how long have you been in Rainbow?

Marius:I been here since the start,I see you are working with Caveira.Last time she went on a mission her partner gotten pretty hurt.

Erik:Why what happened?

Marius:No one knows,everyone thought she was reckless and careless.That's why no one does any mission with her.

He stopped talking when she finally got to the landing pad.I looked at her.

Erik:You ready?

Taina:Let's get this over with.

A few hours passed by on this quiet chopper ride,we landed easily thanks to Jager,he took off and left as we got off.I look at Taina asking her for the plan.

Taina:You take first floor while I take the basement,we meet back up on second floor,got it?

Erik:Yes Ma'am

She quickly disappear into the basement,I breached into the first floor making a hole with my torch,I saw two white masks roaming the area I dropped them.She spoked through coms,I heard a white mask gasping for air on her end.

Taina:Once you finish,hurry and meet me on the second floor.

Erik:Roger

I was finishing the first floor and I finally meet up wit Taina.She was ready to breach until I heard beeping on the other side.I throw her down and an explosion knocked me back,I got up weakened and I immediatley went towards Taina.

Erik:ARE YOU OKAY!?

Taina:WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!?

Erik:I COULDN'T LOSE YOU!

The house was starting to get on fire,I picked her up.

Erik:COME ON WE HAVE TO GO!

I picked her and put her over my shoulder,I got her outside and called for extraction.As we waited a bunch of shots were aimed at us,I had to hold them off since Taina was weak.I was running on adrenaline from the explosion,as I was fighting felt two bullets hit my body,I was about to go down but I wasn't going out with a fight.Jager got here right on time.I picked up Taina and put her inside the chopper,she opened her eyes and saw a bullet hit my arm.She pulled me in I was on the ground,I felt my body start to succumbed to death.She looked at me worried about what was going to happened?
Taina:WHY DID YOU PROTECT ME?
Erik:Because you and me aren't so different and I guess one of us had to make it out.

I weakly smile,my body was starting to lose touch and I blacked out.

Taina:Don't you die on me!?

Caveira Pov

I punched the chopper as we headed back to Hereford base,I immediately took him to the infirmary to go see Doc.

Doc:What seems to be the problem Taina?

Taina:Can you help him!?

Doc saw the body and put him in his table.I waited nervously,it feel like I trust him my whole life,even though I barely knew him.

What was this feeling?
