Chapter 3

We were sitting in the meeting room as everyone gathered around the table. I looked around to see that most of the people belonged to Jonah . I was confused on why I was here. I know damn well I don't work for him. I looked at my boss and see he is talking with Jonah. Jonah looks at me and I look away quickly. I know he noticed but I didn't care.  I hear my boss clear his voice "well we have to discuss something with you all" he says "Yes we do" speaks up jonah.  "well as you we are now working together and the real reason we are working together is because a new gang has moved into the city and we don't know who they are but they are trying to bring down our people and are stealing out materials." He stops and looks at Jonah "and we cant have that. i am very displeased with this . I don't want to be losing nothing of the materials that we are shipping to other countries"he says, clearly pissed off at the fact that someone dares define him. " so we brought our power together to make us more powerful and to be able to bring this new gang. We don't know why they have come looking for trouble but they messed with the wrong people" he says putting his hands on the table  "we just got information on who there leader is . His name is Lucas Del Costa".
"What??!!!" My heart jumped out of my chest almost literally, everyone turned to look at me because I had screamed. Never did I ever think I would hear that name again. Not now not ever How is it possible that he still alive after all these years of me thinking he was dead, all this time he had been lurking in the shadows. How can I have been so blind not to notice. " Aye Williams you alright??" My bosses voice snaps me out of my thoughts.
I turned to look at my boss who was looking at me with concerned eyes and so was everyone else." Y-yeah I'm alright." I said as I stood up but couldn't stand right because my legs shaking. "I just need some fresh air that's all" I walked out of the room and straight to the balcony. I stood there thinking how could have he been alive all this it time , is it possible that he has found me. No that is not possible I haven't been out much and I don't think he would care if I'm alive at this point. He might have already forgotten me. " Are you alright" i was startled by the voice behind me. I turn around and see Jonah there standing with a worried look on his face. "Yeah I'm fine, I just needed some fresh air that is all" "you sure because that is not how it looked like in that room, It looked as if you had seen a ghost." "I'm alright not that it is of any of your concern" " Well it is my concern since you now also work for me so if you don't mind me asking why did you react that way when I mention Lucas Del Costa" I flinched at his name , even after all this time he stills scares me even its just the mention of his name. Way did he still have that affect over me.  He's a monster in my nightmares, one that keeps haunting me, never seems to let me be at peace.  Lucas Del Costa, is a very powerful man that I had been with a long time ago but I had left him after I had discovered some things he had done and because of the way he treated me. I thought he was someone I could trust but I was wrong, he wasn't who I thought he was and he had lied to me just to keep me by his side. Fooled me into thinking when he was a man for me.

Jonah: " Are you gonna tell me how you know Lucas Del Costa?"

Me: " He is
