Chapter 4

ME: He is

I don't know what I was gonna say. I couldn't tell him what I knew. He would use my own knowledge against me to get to him. Wait.. Why was I caring about him after everything he had done to me I still continue to protect him. But at the same time I cant have anyone knowing about my past. I looked at Jonah and realized that I still haven't given him an answer.

Me: h-he is someone who i have heard about and just didn't think he would be a real person

Jonah: and where have you heard from? because from what I can remember no one is really familiar with his name , his only been heard in Russia.. So tell me how do you know about him?

I looked at him and it was true only people in Russia knew about him but they also knew that he wasn't someone you would want to mess with. I sighed and decided that I should just tell him, it's not like he can do much about it.

Me :  "Before I even became who I am today, I used to visit Russia. My parents and I would constantly make trips there" I looked up to see him already looking at me intensively. "On the last night there me and my parents decided to go to a little restaurant for the last night there" I was about to continue when Jonah started speaking. " Did you know why your parents would visit so constantly?" I looked at him " No, I never asked. They didn't like when I asked to many questions, so I would just comply and keep quiet.
I noticed he didn't like the direction in where my story was heading but i was not about to lie about it either.
Me: anyways, we would always visit this man. Ive always found him weird and creepy but i didn't point anything out. My parents would constantly tell me to talk to his son Val. He was kind and fun to be around but i also noticed how he would always tell me that we would "married one day" and i would just laugh it off

I didn't like this. I did not like the idea of telling him about my past and letting him know that the man that i had once loved was now the reason that I closed men off and preferred being alone.

Jonah: so your parents were trying to set you up with him then?
Me: i guess so, we stopped visiting after my dad lost his job and left us, then my mom followed after. By 18 i was already alone. But i knew something happened to my parents and i know it had something to do with him and his family. Because after my mom left, he showed up out of no where.

I can't help but remember my time with val and how stupid i was to believe that everything with him was better and that my life would somehow change for the better

Jonah: he probably killed off your parents to get to you and even more when you were already an adult
Me: well it seems like it. But i cant believe that my parents would do such foolish thing
Jonah: your parents probably owed them money and they thought that by getting you to marry him, they'd be cleared off
Me: well they were for a while until i found the truth about him . I couldn't believe i felt so betrayed that i left. I walked out of his life for good or so i thought
Jonah: he tried looking for you didn't he? After you left?
Me: yes, he had me in Russia, he ended up taking me back, I escaped and stayed for a week until i had a way out. I came back to the U.S, and cut every person that knew my parents off
Jonah: well we need to take him down. Do you have any idea what we can do?? I look up at Jonah letting out a sigh "I do"
