Mistake

7: graduation day

Today is the day of graduation for the older ones, the hyungs.

Students of all grades and parents already settled down in the chairs prepared in the auditorium whereas the graduating batches were situated far away from the audiences.

In the crowd of graduates, Seungcheol, Jeonghan and Jisoo sat together whereas further back, Wonwoo, Jihoon, Soonyoung and Junhui sat together in a line. Wonwoo had his hands on Junhui's.

"are you excited?" Wonwoo asked.

"yes!" Jun was excited and giddy but luckily, Wonwoo's hand on his prevented him from springing up from his seat right there and then.

Seungcheol looked back into the audience and caught glimpse of Seokmin and Minghao, then the maknae line all dressed in their student uniforms. Seungcheol smiled.

The graduation ceremony started. One by one, they all went up to receive their graduation certificates.

Mingyu wore a long black trenchcoat with a white t-shirt underneath it and paired it with black skinny ripped jeans. He also wore sunglasses so that no one would recognise him.

He stood in the far end of auditorium by the corner and made it in time to see Seungcheol receiving his graduation certificate on stage. He smiled.

He took a seat in the audience area later into the ceremony considering he has Yigyeom with him to continue watching them receive their graduation certificates.

Time for the alumnus to give their speeches. As expected, Wonwoo the smart one went on stage to give his speech. They're all proud of him. Proud of each other.

Time for the group to take group pictures.

"Mingyu hyung's not here........" Chan's sad from what they see in his expression.

"uhhh-" Seungcheol started.

"it's fine channie......we can still take a picture despite Mingyu not here okay?" Jeonghan said and Chan could only nod.

They asked an adult passing by to help them with taking their pictures.

With their pose ready, the picture was taken the moment the shutter went off.

"oops sorry, there's someone in the picture too! sorry, I can help you to take another......" the adult said, showing them the picture.

The person in the picture was none other than Mingyu. He walked pass swiftly but looked into the camera just in time with a wide smile.

"it's Mingyu hyung......" Seungkwan muttered out.

"thank you miss! there's no need for another!" Jeonghan took the phone over and they ran all over, looking for Mingyu who was dressed in a black coat in the picture.

Wonwoo saw someone in the black trenchcoat but upon turning the person around, it wasn't Mingyu.

"sorry......" Junhui and Wonwoo apologised to the person.

Seokmin and Minghao came back to the apartment to Mingyu sitting at the couch with Yigyeom sleeping in his arms.

"gyu, did you go to the graduation?" Seokmin asked as he took off his uniform blazer.

"uhh nope" Mingyu said, looking at the TV infront of him.

"you're lying" Minghao bit down.

"fine I did okay? I just wanted to be there to see everything....." Mingyu said.

"awwww that's so sweet of you!" Seokmin squealed.

"shhhhhh!!!" Mingyu shushed Seokmin who immediately quieted down when Mingyu gestured to the baby sleeping in his arms.

"plus I've always been sweet! It's just that you didn't notice" Mingyu pouted.

Minghao scoffed.

"hey you two, go and change!" Mingyu nagged.

Mingyu just had the two of them going change when his phone resting on the coffee table in front of him rang.

"hello hyung?" Mingyu said.

"Mingyu-ya, you came......." Seungcheol said.

Mingyu giggled.

"I did despite I said I couldn't before.....I had to see you all graduating" Mingyu said.

Seungcheol laughed at the other end of call.

"gomawo, Mingyu-ya......" Seungcheol said.

"eyy nothing to thank me of hyung. I just wanted to be there plus I'm lucky that Yigyeom didn't make a fuss....." Mingyu said.

"okay...... I'll end the call now hmmm?" Seungcheol said.

"hmm kay hyung.....take care......" Seungcheol ended the call.
