"Ta Dah!" Su said, putting a mirror in front of my face to show me the ending result. I gasped as I looked at my unusual, beautiful face in the mirror. Any sign of blemish skin was gone and it looked smooth but the golds and warm tones on my eyelids made my eyes look bigger and pop a bit more.

My lips were coated with a natural neutral tone of a brownish color and a mix of a dark wine red color, topped with a nice gloss. "Wow," I muttered, turning my face and about to touch my face but Su caught my hand, "Ah, ah, ah, don't mess up your makeup just yet, you have a whole day to get through," she says.  I smile widely, "My apologies," I mutter.

And my eyes fall back on the mirror and I looked at my hair. Kumi pulled it up into an up-do, my baby hairs curled to perfection, framing my face. "My hair looks so good too, thank you," I say, looking up between the both of them.

They hum in repose and Kumi bows, proud of what they have done. "Okay, wedding girl, you've got a dress and heels to put on. Well leave so you can pull it up and then we'll zip it for you, yeah?" Su asked and I nodded, and they both left the room and grabbed my dress from the closet, hanging up and pulled it out, taking it out from the protective bag and unzipped it.

I pulled it on and looked in the mirror. I looked so different but I liked it, I look vibrant like a queen. I cocked my head and flinched when I heard a knock on the door, "Are you good?" Kumi asked from behind the door and I scoff softly at myself, being caught in my thoughts like a kid.

"Yes!" I call back and they open the door and they squeal, excitement eating all of us up. "Okay, okay, we told you're mom, you were basically done," Su paused, "So when we zip you up, we're gonna have your mama come in and take a look at you."

I nodded and Kumi zipped up the dress and they both stood in front of me, "I think you're the prettiest bride we've had," Kumi admits as both their eyes scan over my body. I chuckle dryly, "That's funny..."

"Alright," Su says, and looks past me and toward my open door. "Come in Devi!" Su calls for my mom and I turn around as she pops her head in and then the rest of her body. "Wow," my mom says, her hands going over her mouth, "My baby looks so beautiful," she says and I stare at her as her eyes began to water.

"Mom don't cry, you're the one who set this up," I remind her cheekily. She rolls her eyes and chuckled softly, "I know, I know. I'm sorry, Hyunjin gonna pass out when he sees you," she says.

I roll my eyes but the smirk on my face didn't falter. "Okay, okay, when are we leaving?" I asked my mom checks the time, "In about 15 minutes," she says looking at me and then the two girls behind me. "Kumi, Su, you're both welcome to the wedding, you did an incredible job," my mom says, bowing respectfully.

"Oh no," Kumi says, behind me, "We've got another appointment," she says and my mom nods, "Alright, well thank you again," she says and then she looks at me, "Mica, we got to get your shoes on and then we'll head there, that okay?" My mother asked and I hummed in response.

Su and Kumi cleaned up as my mom and I pulled on my shoes. They were a beautiful classic white color, diamonds in the perfect spot on my shoe. "Okay, we're out of here. Good luck Mica," Kumi said, bowing at the front door. I bowed back, "Thank you."

I turned toward my mom and she smiled, "You ready?" She asked and I sighed, "Yeah..." I trailed. She frowned, "Are you still not ready?" She asked and I shook my head, knowing it's too late, she wouldn't let me do what I wanted, even if I asked, "Just nervous."

She chuckled, "You'll be okay. Let's go," she said and I carefully walked down the stairs and we went out the door, and I saw a limo, "Oh, we're going in a limo?" I asked and she nodded, smiling, "You'll leave in Hyunjins car though," she replies.

We make it into the car and before I know it, we're pulling into the building, where the wedding is. I felt my heart rate speed up, and a familiar knot form in my stomach. I bit my lip and my mom smacked my arm softly, "Stop biting your lip before you mess up your lipstick," she says, before getting out of the car. I open the door and she helps me get out and we make our way up the stairs.

"Okay, ten minutes until you're wedding officially starts," she mumbled. I sigh and play with my fingers as a millionth things go through my head. "Ill see you in 10," she muttered but my mind was off elsewhere, barley processed what she said. I'm 18 years old and I'm about to be committed to marriage to a boy I haven't even known for a year.

I only hoped and prayed that our relationship would be healthy. I know there's hardships in marriage but I still felt like someone was setting weights on my shoulders, and continued to stack them.

And suddenly, a thought crashed into me. My father isn't here to lead me down to my soon to be husband. I felt a whole in my chest and I frowned.

"Mom?" I called our for her, my voice a bit shaky from being nervous. I felt my eyes water so I looked up so I wouldn't actually cry. I jumped suddenly when I felt a hand on my shoulder, snapping me out of my dazed state. I turned and looked and chuckled nervously when I seen Hyunjins father looking at me.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his left eyebrows raising for a moment. I gave him a non-toothy smile, nodding, "I'm okay.." I said.

He sighed, "No you're not," he said pointing to my eye for moment, "What's wrong?" He asked. I stared at him, confused we to why he is asking at all. He has always been more distant than Hyunjins mother, yet, today... he's asking if I'm alright.

I scoff slightly, and chuckle, "My father should be here," I say softly, looking down at the floor, "I wish he were here but he's not..." I trail, looking back up him, trying to breath evenly and make sure my eyes don't water.

He sighed, "He's part of you, he's here, you just don't know it," he says, pausing for a moment while offering me a small smile. I return it and just nod. "I'm walking you down the isle," he states and my eyes go wide, from shock and relief, "Really?" I asked.  He nodded, "Are you okay with that?" He asked.  I hummed in response, "Yes! Thank you," I bow, twice.

He suddenly hands me a bouquet of flowers and I almost forgot I needed them in the first place.

"Okay Mica... its show time. Soon as you hear the music start, the doors will open and the spot light is on you," he says.

I nod, as my heart rate picked up, "O-Okay," I said .

I stood straight toward the door now. I nod and I feel his arm hook around mine and I glance him, only to see him looking forward toward the plain white closed doors.

I look at them and just before the doors open, he says, "Our family will always take care of you Mica. Don't you ever worry about that," he said and the doors slowly open and the music started.
